This particular nurse Cindy Manson took care of my mother (she also speaks spanish) and that was a blessing. She explained the procedure and made her feel comfortable. Torrance Meomrial has wonderful nurses and I will always take my family there.

Several years ago, my best friends mother suffered a heart attack & was rushed to Torrance Memorial Hospital. When my friend made her way to visit her mom in recovery, she felt a sense of relief when her mother said that she is being cared for by the best nurse she's ever known.
At this time Cindy walked into the room & my best friend was shocked to see who she was. Cindy knows my best friend. Cindy, happens to be my sister. Happy Nurses Appreciation Week to you and all nurses around the world!

Nurses helped keep my mother comfortable in her final days and they helped keep me alive 10 years ago.

As a nurse myself, I read Manson's columns every year, and every year I am more proud that someone recognizes "the nurses, the unsung heroes". I dont live in the area anymore, but appreciate the recognition for us nurses. Her employer Torrance Memorial must be so proud to have an employee that is so proud to represent her profession and the longevity (20 years she said) proves it so. Go Manson!!!

I was just at Torrance Memorial for a procedure and the treatment is outstanding. Torrance does have great nurses and and it makes me happy to see they do get their week of appreciation. Its great to see someone so proud of their job that they actually get to be published in the Breeze. Kudos for the Daily Breeze to honor the nurses. No wonder Torrance Memorial is voted number one time after time.

First off, I would like to say Happy Nurse's week to all the nurses. I have been a nurse for 26 years this year. This article made me reflect on those years. I started my nursing career @ Torrance Memorial and have many fond memories there. Thanks Cindy for the article.

I was a nurse at Little Co. of Mary (and no, that place doesnt rock). I have many friends at Torrance Memorial and they are so incredibly happy there. They were disappointed however they didnt get much recognition for Nurse Week, but they are compensated in other ways. Good pay, longevity bonuses and this particular nurse Manson that wrote this article must have found something there that keeps her there and proud enough to write about it. Happy Nurse week to all the nurses (I do travel assgn. now) but may consider Torrance in the future.

I work at LCMH and we were spoiled for nurse week!
They do love us and printed an entire page in the Daily Breeze celeb rating us. I heard all the nurses got at Torrance were acrylic keychains and flowers from administration that wasnt even delivered personally. IS THAT TRUE??? how lame.
