It'll pass, the failed real estate agents on the RB City Council are just being a bit coy. Come on, look at the rest of Recondo Beach, it will soon be completely ugly wall-to-wall crap boxes. How many clowns can be shoehorned into a city? Just ask Recondo Beach. But, that's a good thing, RB is following in the footsteps of Japan and China and trying to beat those pesky neighbors, Hermosa Beach, for the title as the most densly populated city in the world.

Dear misinformed, Name a realtor on the RB city council. Oh, that's right, there aren't any.

And, hey, I guess they had another election so all the realtors have been replaced with an insurance salesman (guess what kind of insurance) and the retired Fire Chief and several people who never had real jobs outside of government. You're from San Pedro so what do you know. I grew up in RB politics.

Hey genius, A mortgage broker is not a realtor and San Pedro is only the tag the newspaper gives me. I have lived in RB since '75 and if you knew who you were talking to you'd be embarressed to try and compare your political experience in RB to mine. Lastly, Mr. Cagle has been one of the finest and most hard working councilmembers this city has ever seen. But what do you know? You thought he was a realtor and that other realtors were on the council. Over and out.

That does include those financing the great and booming real estate market. You know exactly what I mean if you've been in Redondo since '75, that so much of the city's decision making has been biased by the real estate industry. I was in Redondo for 45 years so maybe you don't know who you're talking to. I'd be "embarressed"? That's embarrassed and I really doubt it. Ok, maybe Redondo has changed for the better since I have been gone the last few years--but no. Everytime I visit it is more and more packed with silly huge box houses, more strip malls and ever decreasing ocean views. Oh, and horrible traffic and rediculous retro road design like Catalina & PCH. It is sad to see what has become of what was a great little town to grow up in. But then you came to RB in '75 so what do you know?

You thought he was a realtor and that other realtors were on the council. Over and out. Oh, BTW mortgage brokers are licensed under the California Department of Real Estate and California does not actually have a separate Mortgage Broker License. Getting a California Real Estate Broker License means you are automatically licensed to function as a mortgage broker. If someone is licensed as a mortgage broker in another state they still need to obtain a California Real Estate Broker License in order to broker or negotiate even one loan in California. Well, the exceptionis co-brokering a loan with someone who is already licensed in California, then you share the commission. If you advertise any type of real estate services over the internet in California, including those of a mortgage broker a California Real Estate Brokers License. So like, you basically are a realtor specializing in mortgage loans. Let's see, so that would mean that Cagle has a California Real Estate Brokers License. OH, hey, if you look at the bottom of his web page for Southland Funding it gives his Real Estate Brokers license. One thing, I do like Cagle because he did fight hard against the stupid Heart of the City.

As with the the rest of the South Bay, greed rules. If somebody can dig up a tree for another parking place you all have a party to celebrate it's removal. I loved it when I lived there in the 50's, 60's and 70's, but it is so different now. You are all like ants figting for a new antholes with another group of ants. It's social and economic Darwinism at it's best, what a shame. Old seniors can't afford to live there, parking spaces are at a premium, all the idiot gangbangers are attracted there for nightly antics. You need a border crossing at Western Ave to keep the convicts out at night. I feel sorry for all of you and your over-appraised homes with monster mortgages. I just sit here at night retired in the high desert on my ten acres, no neighbors to park in my space, no gangbangers, no realtors trying to list my home. Sure I dont have the ocaen, but theres plenty of sand and Joshua trees that look like palm trees on crack. No lines at the eating establishments. I can walk my dogs without having to scoop the poop.
I still have fond memories of the South Bay, walking a block from the house to surf in Hermosa, hot babes and cold beer at Shenanigans, chilling to the Jazz at the Lighthouse. Tipping a few mugs at the Flagship and Critters. Eating a Tacoburrito at Taco Bills at midnight. Riding an old bike for miles on the Strand with friends. Laughing at the tourists wearing bunhuggers at the Sea Sprite. Goodtimes, but the greed took over and your politicians let it happen.
So everytime I see an ant hill I think of the South Bay.

Absolutely!!! I miss those old days in the South Bay, too. You're 100% spot on. Greed took over the South Bay. Come up to the central coast and visit sometime--the surfing is great and it a lot like the South Bay used to be.
