I find it hard to believe that they city would be foolish enough to cut funding to an agency that brings money to the community. Always amazes me when those in power find it very easy to cut all sort of valuable programs, yet they are never able to actually cut their salaries in a meaningful way.. Corporate America on a microscale. Where the almighty buck fills the pockets of private individuals, at a cost to the community at large.
At a time when we need to have an agency bring events either back to Red Bluff, such as the Nitro Nationals, or create new events that bring guests to our community it would be extremely foolish to cut funds to the Chamber. The City Council needs to find areas of wasted money going out correcting those areas, rather then cutting funds where they are needed. |
