Obviously you are all idiots and this girl is full of it. Its nice to know how you all feel about people who use food stamps. I work two jobs and pay for my health insurance and get no child support for my 2 kids but i qualify for food stamps. I dont lie about my income and my kids dont eat fast food. They eat healthy home cooked meals. Im so tired of getting dirty looks from little highschool bitches at country mart that dont have any idea what its like to pay bills. Stop judging. And "nina" f*ck you for making this thread and making a mockery of real hard working moms!

If Macdonalds took EBT card the kids would get a pretty good meal, not good as Sirlion Stockaid or Appelbees but better than cerial when I got to drop them off in a hurry an get to some appointment. It is stupid we can't use EBT at restrant once in a wile when I want to go out with my fionsey. Would be good for restrant bussniss to. Wow I can see by your post how you qualify!

Screw fast food. I would like it if I could use food stamps at farmers market. Give money into this community. And before y'all start slamming me, I work full time and go to school as well. But all the food stamps we use go to large businesses ( except for the discount grocery where we shop ALOT) and I simply wish I could use my help to help the community more.

Not judging, what do you think happened before "food stamps"? People didn't have a lot of choices, they had to work 2, 3 jobs. They bartered. They walked where they needed to go and lived frugal. Just sayin! I think it is time to get back to basics.

But what about a 60 year old woman who lives 2 miles out of town and has cancer. She can no longer drive her car because she's unable to push in the clutch. The last job she had was 7 miles on the other side of town. Any suggestions on how she can get "back to basics"? That's really a rhetorical question because now she is unable to work at all. My point is that there is no easy solution. There are few jobs, daycare is very expensive, and everything has risen except income. In many cases the family income has actually fallen. Many people who have enough money to live don't realize how hard it is for some people.

People need to quit having children they can't afford to feed its really simple. I am tired of working everyday to raise other peoples kids, if you can't afford them close your legs, go to school and get a job

well genius! In order for me to go to school and work two jobs and pay my rent (in full) i have to use food stamps. The resources are there for people who need them and groceries are outrageously expensive. You are NOT raising my kids! Why are you morons so angry about tax dollars that go to feeding children when so many other tax dollars are going to much more corrupt causes but of course the logical thing you can think to do is attack people as a group that use food stamps and not the individuals and their bad habits that are makimg them bad parents. Food stamps are not the problem. Alot of us have jobs. I work plenty. If i work anymore i will never see my kids then what? You will say im abandoning them and that they are little welfare kids running the streets? I dont think so. Im not setting myself up for that but thse stupid stereotypes need to die. I am not ashamed to need help and YOU are not going to make me feel that way.

Have you seen the price of hamburger at the grocery store? 2 lbs. is $4. Add buns ($1) and condiments (few more dollars) and end up paying close to $10. If I just want a hamburger every now and then, it is MUCH CHEAPER to grab one off the dollar menu somewhere. Just saying.

I am 60 years old, in remission, but trying to deal with nerve damage and other side effects from the chemo, radiation, and surgery. I worked my a** off, and paid taxes for close to 45 years. I need the help now, and I am not one bit ashamed to get it. You keep doing what you're doing, and let those who lump people like us in the same group as the abusers of the system pray they never need help!

I think food stamps are great for people who have came into some hard times, TEMPORARILY. This is what they were intended for, to help someone get back on their feet, not a way of life. One thing that really gets me is when you see someone at the gas station buying hot dogs and 6 or 7 fountain sodas and a couple bags of chips and then paying with their ebt card. If you would have went to the grocery store you could have bought 3 big bags of chips, 4 packs of hot dogs and a two liter of soda for what you just spent on a snack and drinks for your friends.
