jm wrote: It makes me so sad when I read about people who don't believe in our Heavenly Father and that his son was Jesus Christ. When I need help, I close my eyes and I pray. I talk to God like I would talk to a friend. There are no formalities between me and my Father. When my body dies, I know that my spirit will be taken to Heaven where God andy family will be waiting for me. It's called Faith for a reason. You must have it. 'You must have'........And what about all those people of different religions who believe as strongly as you.....They have faith.........I bet you think they are simply deluded don't you? By the way, you don't 'know' you believe..........And I believe you are mistaken.......The evidence is on my side.

By the way, you don't 'know' you believe..........And I believe you are mistaken.......The evidence is on my side. The Devil comes in many forms Mr. Dawkins. Other people are not for me to judge. And I can promise you, with no uncertainty, that I KNOW God is true. He guides me daily and one day will bring me home. I will pray for you so that one day God may show you his presence before it is too late for you.

Lots of delusionsal people can promise, with no uncertainty, that all sorts if things are true........Doesn't make them true. The guys who flew planes into the WTC with absolute certainty......You believe they were deluded by Satan........They believe the same about you. I think you're both delusional........The religious are so terrified of their own mortality they'll believe anyone who offers them hope.......That's why hundreds of contradictory religions have followers who have equal certainty.

Think about that, with a perfect god and a perfect plan, praying should alter nothing. At least the Calvinists understand the concept of predestination. The fact remains that 'Christian miracles' are indistinguishable from random chance.......But psychologically Christians dismiss negative outcomes and only accept positive ones, making the sample skewed.

We have been given the gift of free will. I believe that God has a plan for each of us and we don't always choose His way. Yes God is perfect but we are not and neither is this world. I am currently fighting breast cancer. Did God give me cancer? I don't think so. When sin entered this world so did sickness and bad things. I have had so many praying I might overcome this disease. We have had lot of sad news yet I have been given a peace that passest all understand. That peace cannot come if this is a false faith. I feel the arms of Jesus around me as I have when I have lost a love one. What about people that faithfully believe another way I don't have the answers. But my personal faith is real. Please don't try to convince me it isn't. I will be praying for you.

God created the universe, according to your creation myth........That means he created Satan and sin......To deny that is to deny he created the universe and is omnipotent......One of many paradoxes thrusts attempt to side step by saying 'free will'......a phrase that does nothing of the sort........Except for the Calvinists, of course.

Do you get to decide whether you will rob someone today? Yes you do... Therefore, you have free will. He did not CREATE SATAN! GOD CREATED LUCIFER! BIGGGG DIFFERENCE!(If you're going to argue the bible, please know your facts) Lucifer (being of "FREE WILL" decided to turn against God) the EXACT SAME WAY YOU HAVE "CHOSE" TO.

Not if he is omnipotent.......The free will argument was a fabrication of the church to explain away the inconvenient problem of an omnipotent god punishing people for doing exactly what they were predestined to do.......Only if god were not the alpha and omega would there be such a thing as free will.........The Calvinists understood this, that's why they believe god created the elect, who he would save, at the beginning.......If takes an IQ less than 100 to fail to grasp the fundamental stupidity of 'free will' in a universe ruled by an omnipotent god..........Leaving a god who created people just to punish them........That would make your god as petty and tyrannical as the worst dictators in world history...:...A sociopathic deity........Your god makes the kid who pulls the wings off flies look like a saint.........He's no god of mine.

Oh, and let's not leave out the fact that if god created the universe, he purposely did so in such a way as to leave no evidence of his hand other than a book and some idiot followers....A book the historical and scientific evidence for which is zip..........Brilliant, if he created the universe to reward the stupid and the gullible.
