One of my coworkers told me no one is allowed down at the vida bridge river because a lady posted no trespassing signs up, and if anyone is caught down there she will prossecute. Does anyone know if this is true? I thought the state owned rivers. Maybe, I am wrong.

The state may own the actual river, but if she owns the property around the river she can post signs that say to stay off.

I also heard this. Although, I was down there a week ago, I only seen a few no tresspassing signs, and purple on a few trees. So, maybe, it's only the wood line that is off limits. I would say the PCSD would know more.

It was my understanding that if you float a boat in it (river or creek) it was public waterway and bank up to 20 or 25 ft right of way.

I think the "boat" part is right, but the bank part isn't. Not 100% sure. PCSD has a facebook page. Why don't you go and ask directly.

any part of the bank that was created by river erosion is owned by the state. any property owner whose land touches the river has no right to the waterway, nor to the banks.

The danger Fox News poses to America is not that it is a biased or partisan arm of the Republican Party, as the Obama Administration contends. Fox is a danger because it is a cult and uses the same destabilizing psychological techniques cults use to undermine the independent functioning of minds they want to control. Once unleashed, these cult-like techniques can ultimately take on a life of their own and become very dangerous, especially to the most important of all American freedoms, the freedom of thought. The most precise term for these techniques is mind control. Unfortunately, by focusing on Fox News' bias, the Administration diverts attention from the true problem. Fox is a powerful system of mind control that makes a mockery of the principles of self-reliance and individual responsibility for which Fox adherents ostensibly stand. For cults, like Fox News, their objective is total control of the victim's mind so that the viewer becomes the easily manipulated pawn of the cult. The cult leadership is not satisfied to merely convince the listener of a particular point of view. The cult wants to effectively pull the levers inside the listener's mind, and direct that mind lock, stock and barrel. The cult will measure its own success by the relative ease with which it is able to do this.

I just went down that way this weekend. There are tree's off of the gravel bar marked but the gravel bar itself was open. Also just on the other side of the bridge (the side the current runs through) is marked blue ribbon fishing by the state. The police will run people off for being too rowdy. You can float. But I would not recommend trying to float the piney from Vida bridge. Low water's, barbed wire across the river in a spot (illegal BTW), herd of cows and tree's down.

My husband told me that no one is allowed there anymore because of all the drugs/druggies that end up down there. Not sure how much truth there is to it, or if it's just a rumor.

Thats part of it the other part is peoples total lack of respect for other peoples property.years ago we would go down there have a good time and not only clean up after ourselves but the few others that didn't bother to and left trash , bottles etc laying around. In todays era of disrespect for anything including themselves the landowners got tired of the broken glass and general trashing of the place so it ruined what was once a great getaway that is close for everybody!!!!

I agree. Some people just don't care, as long as they don't have to clean it up, even if they are responsible for the mess. I don't blame the owners one bit for finally putting a stop to it. Just sucks for the ones who DID clean up.

Any stream or river is considered waters of the state. And the banks of the waterway are owned by the state I believe it's 10 or 15 off the water is state owned .
