Yeah I remember old Bruce barging in uninvited everywhere kinda like Faulk. I still wonder if the Black Community invited him down there. That really bothers me if they are supporting Republicans. I have campaigned hard in this district but did not think that I had to court the African American voters around here. I guess they have the right to change if they want. Raven, I am waiting for your to tell me a program that the Republican party started that benefits common man.
To set the record straight, who said I am a Republican? I am a conservative who leans to the left on some issues. I am supporting McCain because he is conservative on some issues. Odumba and his ilk are for dreamers like you who are not grounded in reality.

I see the full moon is approaching ... is it your lunacy or perhaps your ADD/ADHD that is spiraling out of control?

Maybe some blacks appreciate what the Republican did for them. Thousands of white males shed their blood for them. How about Abraham Lincoln, Republican, freeing the blacks under The Emancipation Proclamation? I guess that does not count because it does not fit your esoteric definition...right champ?

Now let's talk about about some great Democrat programs ... like expanded welfare, education, The Great Society, raiding Social Security, taxes, no drilling for oil which helped to drive up the cost of gasoline, plans for amnesty and open borders for illegal aliens, taxing small businesses, etc etc etc. All I hear from you Libs is about the evil Cheney and Bush. What has the Democratic lead Congress done in the last two years? Why is their approval rating lower than Bush?

I will fight until the end for McCain, but I believe Odumba will be our next president.

Now a question for you. Other than being offended, what sacrifices and accomplishments have you done to enhance the strength of our country?

It is against the policy of the Price Public Community Center to endorse any canidate that is running for political office! Although we have allowed organizations, businesses and individuals to utilize the building, we have never endorsed a canidate, nor will we in the future. Price Public is not representative of any political party, whether it be black or white. Concerning the Soul Food Dinner......it was a very busy evening and I was unaware of the situation until someone called it to my attention. I immediately called Mike into our office and I explained our policy. Mike apologized and then left. Price Public has set very high standards, not only for the preservation of this historical site, but also of our officers and board members. Since our beginning, we have served over 30,000 citizens regardless of race, creed or national origin and have bonded with this community. We have received nothing less than compliments of our building and service to this community. Things come to us everyday of which we have no control, but, what is important is how we handle it. In the future, we will certain be more aware of any situations that would not be representative of Price Public. I am so very sorry that this happened and I apologize to anyone that was offended.

Thank you so much for the apology. As I was greeted by the door by Mr. Faulk and his lovely lady friend folks were busy about their work but most of them like myself had been pinned by the Faulk sticker. I know this probably put these workers in the same situation it did me.I do appreciate your explanation. Your food was great and so is your facility.

In the past four years I have registered over 150 people to vote locally. I do try to influence them but many will vote opposite me . I am just glad that they vote. I have gone on a foriegn mission trip ,yes Democrats are Christians too. I have helped with Samaratians purse shoebox Christmas ministry. I have collected items for the local animal shelter, school supplies for needy children, bought a pair of glasses for a child whose parents worked and struggled to make ends meet and did not qualify for Tn. care. Helped indigent people with no insurance get needed medicines through pharmacutical companys at no charge. I know many entitelment programs are abused, but how do we cut through the mess. We cannot let children go hungry and when you feed the kids many times you are helping lazy parents but which is worse? Raven I really have just been a smart-butt trying to rile you up. I do think it is entertaining. I mess with you when I can but many of my remarks are just to get a response. You have me pegged well though. I really am hyper. If I told you my accomplishments the real ones, you would know who I am if you are involved in county politics. And sacrifices, realistically, the only sacrifice that I have made is a lot of time and a little money so I really have not been very sacrificial. Were you a POW?

No, some halfwit socialist liberal hijacked the thread because he/she got all in big snit over a politico they didn't like giving out campaign stickers at the event.

Are liberals so slow witted that they don't realize that hanging around crowds is what all politicos do?

I, too, am very surprised the organizers of the dinner allowed Faulk to have such a visible presence. They are family-oriented Christians, and they have to know Faulk's "values" are not the community's and are offensive to many who would be attending the dinner.
I'm surprised everyone in this town seems to have Faulk guity just because someone wrote a letter. I don't know him and I've not decided who I'm going to support yet but I won't be using the "letter" as part of my decision making. Sure hope no one else decides to write letters about any of the others. The poles would be empty come election day if they did.

I took my family to eat at the Price Center tonight and evidently the Rogersville Black Community have gone Republican in a big way. My daughters and I were met by an attractive young lady who immediately put a Faulk sticker on us. It was embarassing to take it off right there knowing you would have to pass by him on the way out and it would be obvious that I had ripped it off. I am a Mike Williams supporter and I cannot believe that the way Ron Ramsey and his cronies incliding Mike Faulk have tried to wreck Nathan Vaughn's name that the African Americans in this town would go for him campaigning in your historical building. I guess the only Democrats left in Hawkins County are white. I hope it doesn't cramp the style of this community too much when they have to say President Obama in a few months. I haven't seen a single family in Rogersville with an Obama sign up in their yard. I guess you are ashamed of him but I am not. He is the most Presidential candidate that I have seen in years. I thought I was going to eat dinner not attend a political function for Mike Faulk.
No.. the African American community in this town have wised up an realized that 50 years voting democratic hasnt gotten them $hit!! Unlike YOU the majority of the African American population in Rogersville arent voting for Obama just cause hes black. There not voting for him because they know hes not fit to run this country! Do you know why Condoleezza Rice is a republican?? Because when she was a little girl growing up in Birmingham, Alabama she witnessed her father enter a Democratic registration booth.... and he was turned away!!! The Democrats told him to get his ass outta there. And who did he turn to... the "Republican" party who accepted him. They didnt see a "black" man, they seen a "man" that wanted to excercise his right to vote, a man that wanted his voice to be heard. I am a red blooded white american and im glad to see the black community in our town supporting the conservative movement. Now im not saying im a Right Wing Hardcore republican, there are times when I vote democrat because i think it takes an idiot to vote a straight party, but I think its great to see the black community accepting the republican ticket and really wanting "Change" Im an American , And I approve this message!

I can assure all of you that most of the black community in Rogersville has not gone Republican. I cannot speak for every black person obviously, but a large majority will be voting Democrat. I have no explanation of why Mike Faulk was there, but usually in an election year candidates or supporters of both parties are represented. I did not attend the dinner so I don't know why supporters of the Democrats were not represented.
