When I first moved here several said, go to Save a Lot. Well, me being me, was content to shop Walmart. (it was familiar and I was hundreds of miles away from home) About 2 years ago I finally went and checked it out. Now I shop there regularly. I still go to Food City and Walmart for certain items but Save A lot has helped me to stretch my budget and feed my family healthy for a lot less. Produce and Fruits are usually cheaper and the quality is great. Meats are hands down the cheapest there, for what I shop for. The employee's have always been friendly anytime I've been there. If you haven't been there, walk in, check it out, you might be pleasantly surprised.

I feel sorry for the workers! They always look cold! They always are friendly though, especially that little short tubby one. She's funny.

Great prices on veggies and meat but tell Scrooge to give up a lump of coal. My gooseberries nearly froze off today. Get some local politicians in there, that will warm the place up in no time.

Seems to me, they have a high employee turn over? Maybe ALL is not as it seems. I heard the owners were GREEDY, that's why the cashiers and stock boys have no heat! I don't shop there, it's simply too cold in there, I am too distracted by the cold, I never go there anymore. I shop where they have heat! This is 2009, for the love of God you GREEDY people need to turn up the heat, I never have recommended that store to anyone! NEVER WILL! Those poor employees, sad!

They do have a high employee turnover. Wonder why? There's a couple in there that's been there a while. Every time I go in there the cashiers always seem happy. Can't be that bad.

Is most likley because of pay level and people with a good work record move on...min wage does not keep good employees....I remb a story about old White Stores...most were paid min wage...except when a demo was president...the owner was a hot headed repbulican who said no demo was going to tell him what to pay people..so when a demo was president he paid nickel more than min wage....a lot of workers here still voted rep..they were still there when it closed.

We shop at Save A Lot, too, but Super Dollar has them beat on a lot of stuff. I know in the meat dept. there is sometimes a 50 cent difference per pound on stuff.

I don't particularly care for many of the people that work there. The cashiers seem to be pretty rude. I have spoken to several of them only to have them act like nothing was ever said..The meat and produce are much cheaper than wal-mart which is good. My mom had me go to the store for her with her foodstamp card and the cashier stole the card info and the pin.....She took all my mom's money off. I took my mom back and the manager called the cops and gave my mom certificates which I thought was very nice. The cashier quit....I was very pleased with the management.

i have worked there and the reason there is such a high turnover is because the owners are the most horrible people you could ever work for. i have never seen denita have a good work to say to anything and she always walks around like shes better than everyone i would never recommend anyone to work there and i would definately never do it again no more money than they pay you its definately not worth their attitudes

Daily Horoscope for December 21

Aquarius

Although you're still feeling sociable and outgoing, the Solstice brings the need for a little time to yourself now and then. It's time to temper your busy social life with some precious moments of solitude. Make sure you do, as this need is something important and life-enhancing. It will certainly recharge your inner batteries, which might be a little run down.
