And Bush II made a bigger mess than Bush I.

Obama has done a good job considering he has had no help from the Republicans. They have tried to keep the Recession they created going so they can blame Obama with it.

Truth be known, Obama first 2 years he has had full control of congress and senate. He had all opportunity to fix things then. Because things were going in wrong direction. The American people decided he had to much power and making to many mistakes they voted republicans in the house to slow Obama messed up agenda. If Obama was using his power to fix the problems, republicans wouldn't have won the majority 2 years ago. Things are not better now than they were 4 years ago. Only changes I see is that people that are working are working for alot less. Unemployment rate is still terrible and people that WANT to work are having a hard time finding a good job.

The Tea Party had a great deal to do with those November 2010 elections. They seized the moment to manipulate the publics frustration into fear and anger and show off Caribou Barbie, Sarah Palin as their poster child for all things homey and grizzly. They took over the GOP, making outcasts of moderate Republicans who could compromise and get things done. Obama's agenda was to regulate banks so they would stop gambling with the publics money and not take us into another stock market crash. The GOP has blocked that effort. Obama's agenda was to make people buy health insurance according to what their income so the rest of the tax payers could stop paying for their health care. Obama's agenda was to force insurance companies to pay 80% of paid premiums toward the payers actual health care and not on "advertising" or "miscellaneous costs" He succeeded.

Big Phrama wasn't happy about the possibility of loosing their 20 year long patents on high priced drugs or the US importing cheaper drugs from places like Canada. Trump, Big Pharma,The Koch Brothers, Big Oil and Wall Street, funneled billions into the Tea Party, Birthers, Religious Groups and every other propagandist right wing group so they could maintain their rule over our government and economy. The propaganda machine that brought us Obama is an atheist, Muslim, Socialist, Kenyan was fed by those who want to cling to the old Bush policies of no regulation, no taxation for the ultra rich, more subsidies for billionaires and less for the American worker. That's how they won in Nov of 2010 and we all lost. You want jobs? They are overseas where the owner of the companies took them because he didn't like to pay taxes.

It's extortion to demand less taxes in order to bring back American jobs that were taken away by greedy people to begin with. Let the greedy give up their citizenship and leave the country for good. They are traitors anyway. Wealthy job creators had 10 years of no taxes and subsidies and they didn't create jobs here, they created them in Mexico and China. Now you want to elect a man who destroyed jobs, who thinks college kids should just ask their parents for tuition money instead of taking out student loans. Romney he doesn't have a clue most parents are barely making the over inflated mortgage payments on their underwater homes. Obama rails against private equity, but has no problem wasting taxpayer dollars (yes, if you actually DO pay taxes, that means you) in failed companies.

Let's make a list of how much of YOUR money, Obama and his Administration have wasted:

Raser Technologies - Obama admin gave $33 million of taxpayer money, company is bankrupt and owes $1.5 million in back taxes.

ECOTotality - Received $126 million from Obama admin (yes, your tax dollars). Since receiving the money, company has incurred $45 million in operating losses and does not believe it will ever have sustained profitability. The company is, also, under investigation for insider trading.

Nevada Geothermal Power - Recipient of $98.5 million of your dollars (provided that you actually PAY taxes, and many of you don't pay income taxes at all)... Company is in financial turmoil and will likely not be able to continue as a going concern.

First Solar - Now we're talking real money...$3 (B)illion (yes, that's billion with a "B") in loan guarantees given by Obama's admin. Company has fallen to a record low share price on NASDAQ, fired 30% of its workforce, and reported $401 million in restructuring costs.

Abound Solar -$400 million given by Obama administration to build photovoltaic panel factories. In February, the company halted production and laid off 180 employees.

Beacon Power -$43 million of your taxpayer dollars given to them in the form of a loan guarantee. Company has delisted from the NASDAQ and filed bankruptcy.

The list goes on and on and on ... Sun Power ($1.2 Billion), Brightsource ($1.6 Billion), Solyndra ($535 million). As stated in the Washington Post (you know, that conservative, right-wing publications that always criticizes Obama no matter what he does), "Obama has declared that all the projects received funding “based solely on their merits.” But as Hoover Institution scholar Peter Schweizer reported in his book,“Throw Them All Out,” fully 71 percent of the Obama Energy Department’s grants and loans went to “individuals who were bundlers, members of Obama’s National Finance Committee, or large donors to the Democratic Party.” Collectively, these Obama cronies raised $457,834 for his campaign, and they were in turn approved for grants or loans of nearly $11.35 billion. Obama said this week it’s not the president’s job “to make a lot of money for investors.” Well, he sure seems to have made a lot of (taxpayer) money for investors in his political machine." According to Politico,“The Energy Department’s inspector general has launched more than 100 criminal investigations” related to the department’s green-energy programs.

The man is a novice, a pawn in a big political machine born in Chicago countless decades ago, and not fit to lead. Hurry November, you can't get here soon enough.

I see the GOP has trotted out their usual 'scare the christians' nonsense about gay people again this election...that's their usual ploy to get votes. Apparently only scared christians and the filthy rich will vote for one. But all republicans have Republican Amnesia when it comes to remembering the disasters their presidents have perpetrated on the country. Let's see now, this county has been voting republican for many generations. There should have been tons of jobs in Hawkins Co if they are so good at job's creation. Where are those jobs? I've been here over 60 years and I never saw any republican jobs come here.

I remain befuddled every time someone criticizes or praises a 'president' for job creation or job loss. Someone needs to read up on history, economics, finance, taxation, and actually RUN a business before they attempt to speak about job creation.

Facts are facts, the only jobs a government can create are government jobs, funded by the taxpayers in some way. For every job created by the government, the funding to pay the salaries and administer the job (usually at least a 15% administrative overhead), the money comes OUT of the consumer/saving/investing economy. The 15% typical administrative overhead is just net government growth. If you doubt my numbers, read the big stimulus bill that passed Congress several years ago and see how much was set aside for administration of the bill. If that one doesn't support the number, try reading the Obamacare bill and that will open your eyes as well.

The other prevalent method of government interference in job creation is picking winners and losers in commerce. All those companies that I listed in an earlier post were supposed to be 'winners'. The government (e.g., OBAMA ADMINISTRATION) picked those winners and either gave them taxpayer dollars to spend, or guaranteed loans on their behalf. Either way, the taxpayer money (e.g., YOUR MONEY IF YOU ACTUALLY DO PAY TAXES) was spent on wasteful, failed businesses, mostly owned/managed by Obama supporters, bundlers, and contributors.

True growth in jobs comes from independent business, the marketplace, investors, entrepreneurs, and risk-takers. The growth of government regulation, the concept of Robin Hood economics (rob the rich and redistribute wealth to the poor) is a lose-lose situation for job-growth, period. Unless you have run a business, made decisions in investing, hired and fired persons, made a profit, purchased assets, etc., you simply won't get it. You will continue to think that big government is the answer, tax-tax-tax and give me my monthly check, or let me go to my government job.

Your children, grandchildren, and future generations will be saddled with the debt and failed economics of big government (e.g., the left, Democrats, OBAMA). We are rapidly sliding to Europe's standards, overspending, overtaxing, promising economic futures that are unsustainable, and heading towards a complete economic train wreck.

No economic system is perfect, but one that relies on government to tax and spend for job creation,'rob the rich to redistribute wealth', punishes success, and regulates industry out of business is a perfect storm of disaster.

OK, I'm finished with this post... you can start talking again about how bad George Bush was... that seems to be your only response.

People love to bring up Solyndra and other investments but few point out the loans to alternative energy manufactures started during the Bush administration to wean us of of foreign oil. Bush had a hand in Solyndra for 3 years before Obama. Republicans were complaining the DOE money wasn't being spent fast enough now it's Obama's fault it was spent at all.
Please. People rushed to invest in Facebook too because everyone "Liked" it. That doesn't mean it was good investment. After all John McCain said "Free Enterprise (capitalism) can be cruel." Don't we know it, thanks to the great Stock Market crash of 2008 that Obama had nothing to do with. Now the GOP wants us to vote for Romney and invest our Social Security in Casino Capitalism. You can't win if you don't play! I don't think so.
What they don't tell you about Solyndra is that competition in the alternative energy field from other countries like China is Germany is fierce. While our divided government argues over investment funds and stimulus funds, China can build anything we invent cheaper while Germany already has improved on our designs and process and has it on the market. That's why we still flounder in the alternative energy fields. Here's the time line of when the loans went down.
