has anyone ever noticed what the crazy owner has done to people at the bowling alley?the guy is a huge crook he tried to charge 3 sets of parents for the same thing. and as a result of what went on last sat night there have been quite a few people stop league play and going there all togethar. he called the police but was made to look like a idiot after they got there he has a long history of calling the police over childish stupid things and he cheats people out of money look for the place to close before long because a idiot runs the place and is dishonest and if you dont belive this keep an eye on the names that show up every week for the league youll start seeing a lot less names and its all cause of that he is crazy and a crook

He is a nice guy, just does not know how to run a business, and he is not a people person. You must have both to run any business. Sometimes the kids do get carried away, they can't break things, but also I don't know if you need to keep calling the cops. At league tonight I believe there was only one man that quit.

The big problem is that it is to expensive to bowl there, and he does not know how to oil the lanes.

I would like to buy it, it can be a real money maker.

Me, my husband, and my cousin all went there last weekend. This was the first time for my husband and I. and we HATED it. The man who runs it is a COMPLETE a$$hole. He was VERY rude to us. We will NEVER go back there again. If anyone wants a good bowling alley to go to, please check out the one in Greeneville. It serves beer, and is much cheaper, and also has a kareoke (sp?) night. The people who run it are cool and laid back and actually know how to treat thier customers.

Yes they have ice cream , lol they probably watch you like a hawk to make sure you didn't drop any on the floor . I'm sure Mr. Tunnell loves to see the money roll in , but you got to have a personality in the business hes in . I don't think he will ever make it , hate to be millions of dollars in debt like he is , in the old bowling alley I bowled in 3 leagues , the new 1 don't think they have 1 plant league bowling. If you don't have your nights filled with leagues your sunk , thats tells me they will never make it .

I went one day to watch the CHS bowl league. The kids appeared to be having a good time. I did not see any man running/being rude to anyone. The food counter was busy, busy. I didn't see anyone eating at the tables though. This leads me to believe they were eating at the bowling section which is a big no-no. Food on the bottom of bowling shoes is very dangerous. He needs to have rules and enforce them about where food can be taken. I loved the non-smoking in the bowling alley. It was great!!!!

Yeah Mr. tunnel is a rude old man. He doesn't care bout nothing but money. Bowling is suppost to be fun. When i go somewhere i don't like having to worry about some hateful old man being an a** and getting into everyone's business. I too have seen him call the cops on people for no reason at all!It costs an arm and a leg to bowl there anyways, go bowl in greeneville or morristown SAVE YOUR MONEY. I promise the driving time will be worth it cuz like people said above....hes rude and doesn't know how to run a business.:)

I had heard that Tunnel bought the Ford dealership and built the alley because he was a church goer that wanted to improve the community and felt that an alcohol-free bowling alley would be a good place for teens to go rather than get into trouble. But are you saying he is now driving them out and calling the police? For roughhousing, foul language, or what exactly are the situations where the police are called?

FWIW, I've been once with my grandchildren. It was OK, but the fees were a bit high so I haven't been back. Would be nice if there was a half price night on two for 1 special, or children bowl free or something like that. Maybe he has them now, I don't know, I haven't seen any advertising for the alley.

I agree Mr. Tunnell is very rude! I attended the bowling alley for a birthday party with my child recently. As I was there he approached a young boy, over rolling the ball too hard. he was very hateful and rude. Which was uncalled for. He could have talked to the 8-9 yr. old child in a kinder manner and saved this child much embarrassment.Better be glad it wasnt my son or he would have to get my foot out of his @$$! I would not recommend anyone to go this bowling alley. He watches the children with a hateful and evil look. They are too scared too enjoy themselves. Definately no parties there for me in the future!

I went to a birthday party there and all the kids wanted a cup of ice cream. Well, they charged an outrageous amount just for plain vanilla ice cream. I've not been back since. I knew then that these people aren't trying to get return customers, they just want to make money.....doesn't make sense does it? NOPE! Guess that's why they say earlier that he doesn't know how to run a business. ANYONE can get someone there once but it's the workers/prices/cleanliness that will bring them back again!

So people don't open businesses to make money? Doesn't that make sense.....not!

Ok now people...Think about how many times people have posted on here about parents not taking care of their kids at walmart. Maybe this guys tired of kids tearing his place up while the parents sit back and do nothing. I see a 2 way street. I like kids when they're someone elses and behaving themselves. His given people a family place to come to but he may as well have served beer. The drunks aren't that particular and most aren't as distructive as unsupervised kids.

The Tunnell is a nice place to go. John isn't the best people person by far but the rest of the staff are very kind. He definitely needs to learn how to oil the lanes better. As far as him calling the law on kids, if I invested as much into a business as they have and some punk kid starts tearing things up and I couldn't get them to leave I would call them. Now with small children he should learn to be a little nicer. It may be a little more expensive, which I would expect from a business still paying back loans, but it is one of the cleanest and most smooth operating bowling alleys I have ever been in.
