Sure it's a cult, along with most churches. Interested in your money, then it disappears into someone's pocket with no accountability, all while preaching a bunch of BS designed to loosen you up.

Yes it is a cult. I probably know half of the people that go there and most of them are fake. They never practice what they preach and the church is know for it's gossip.

What church isn't as cult? one of the definitions of a cult is a religious practice. people sitting around praying to the flying spaghetti monster feel the same way about the christians as the other way around, so how is any of them not a cult?

that some people watching a money grubber on tv or in any church tend to believe anyone using a bible...people that are otherwise fairly smart. even the best of pastors will flub up sometimes and most seem to have pet peeves..usually involving the govt.

Nearly all Baptist churches require members to sign legally binding contracts when you join. You don't need to sign to attend, but attending without joining is discouraged if it goes on too long.

What happens if you don't donate the 15% or whatever percentage that it is to the church from your income? Do they take you to court?

Really? I have been a member of 3 Baptist churches in my lifetime (almost 50 years) and none of them required a signed contract.

I know several churches that won't baptize people if they don't become members of that church, which I think is ungodly. Can someone post a copy of such contracts blocking out the churches names? If people can't come and go from church to church as they please without being forced or coerced into becoming a member to one church or the other I see no freedom in religion in that at all. I suspect it's based more on financial rather than spiritual necessities, like up keep of church owned buildings and adjoining graveyards and paying off church debts. I wouldn't sign anything, you could be paying more than just your soul if it's legally binding.

I couldn't find local ones available on the internet. Here's one I found from a church in Texas:

Judgmental much?

Please note that I have never set foot inside the place. Just enjoying the self-serving ramblings of the moronic majority...carry on now.

Have attended Baptist churches my entire life. I have never seen this practice or heard mention of it until I read this...drivel.

Hate to be standing in your shoes one of these days. Just sayin.
