Nothing is in McDowell County anymore! Who's wanting to re-locate here? And with all the new housing, Do they have sewage hook-up/septic tanks? I don't want to see a "sewage line" running into our creek's/river's.

People I've talked to have no idea.

When they are built they usually have families prequalified for them.Council of Southern Mtn's built these and (SHED) Safe Housing & Economic Development. has built 3 in War with 3 more in plans for Starland Heights. This is a very good program were they try to keep mortgage payments low and usualy the owners save enough from lower utility cost to help afford the payments. Hope this helps

I noticed one house had new gray color paint or siding placed on it. They look real good! Too good for the Welch area. I still would like to know who wants too relocate into McDowell County? Poor people/Drug Addicts/ Un-wed Mother's?
