It appears the dermatologist mentioned in the article was thoroughly unprofessional in her remarks, and in condemning the sufferer for a condition that she (the dermatologist) could not diagnose. From what I understand, the figure of 13,000 is only a portion of those afflicted with Morgellons. Perhaps if enough people read the article the word will get out and the responses will light a fire under the CDC to pursue real research to find a cause, and hopefully, a cure. This woman, Ms Swanson, does not deserve to be treated in such a harsh and dismissive manner by so-called medical professionals. Sort of like "killing the messenger," rather than attempting to help. Whatever happened to the Hippocratic oath?

Thank you, Bye. At the rate this is spreading, I am sure in time they will be among "the chosen".
I don't know how much longer the CDC can stall on this marathon investigation, but the thousands who are suffering horribly are not going to remain submissive much longer. This is TOO BIG and TOO IMPORTANT to be dismissed any longer.

I don't know why so many are trying to knock us down. If they had to go through what we do. They probaly would haxe mental problems just trying to cope.If someone they know or love has it they would do anything to help.Is that what it takes more and more getting sick or dying. I pray not we no longer suffer can suffer in silence.use your time that you take in making fun. maybe look into it.Then a love one may be helped. They say there is safety in numbers

Yes, you are correct; Table salt, sea salt, Selsun Blue, Seabuckthron oil (not on the face it will break you out.) Shampoo and lotions for demodex mites all help. C'mon CDC!!! I think it's a parasite. I use to leave my windows open and something flew in and started attacking me. Maybe it is something genetically engineered. I truly believe the CDC knows what it is and will have very good news for us. I completely believe it's curable.:)

Listen up; DO you want to end this suffering? Then get up, turn off The View, and go see:

"...Nanay Manghihilot," Vallejo's very own Mother Healer." You know right away when her hand is on you, your pain will go," said Joy Jefferson, one of Nanay Manghihilot's latest clients.Nanay Manghihilot's real name is Regina Pascua..."

Check out this Monday morning VTH story, then get back to me. LMc, and your girlie man dave1021. Let us know how it went; unless you don't want to be outed as frauds.

What the [f]uck are you talking about? How are you going to "out" me for being a fraud? The only thing I said was you're a jerk. No fraud there. Oh, and I also said you weren't trying to help anybody. Again, nothing fraudulent there... and who in the [f]uck is dave1021?

I've worked in the mental health field for years, and I have seen the symptoms of this illness first hand (not from the mental patients, but from mentally healthy people). Morgellon's is not a mental health issue. It is a real physical ailment that affects mentally healthy people and is not understood by most doctors.
The average medical doctor does not have the training to treat or diagnose an unusual illness like Morgellons. The symptoms do not match the cookie cutter list of illnesses they learned in med school, but since doctors already know everything (not), it must be imagined, right?
Conversely, almost without exception infections disease doctors say this is a real physical illness. Unfortunately, it is not something we are familiar with at present. The initial talk of sufferers being delusional was started by a few very vocal dermatologists who are in no way qualified to diagnosis a systematic illness such as Morgellon's. It is exactly the same as if they examined someone with a red face brought on from a heart condition and said the pain and tiredness were all delusional.
This physical illness is obviously real. Something needs to be done to help these people.
I wonder if this isn't a reaction to toxins? Some people do develop increased sensitivity to things over time, whether it be food or things they are exposed to in their environment. I do not want to compare this woman to a drug addict, but I know that individuals who abuse certain types of drugs,(crystal meth, crack, etc.), eventually develop very nasty sores. Is it possible that their bodies can't process whatever the toxin is and it eventually works it's way out through the skin? Maybe this is similar to people who suffer adverse affects from exposure to molds. I hope she finds help.

For those that are entertained by mocking or being skeptical of others, get a life and hope you dont get this thing.

I have not had this but a family member has. EXACT story as the lady in the article. Went through rounds of pesticides. Extremely dehabilitating and painful. Joint pain, open sores, exhaustion, specks, fibers. We were very lucky from helpful groups on the internet to take steps to put this thing into remission which took about two months of strict protocols of diet, cleaning, minerals, drawing agents.

This stuff is nasty.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Gemini

You're in a very erratic mood today, making you restless, edgy and nervy. It may be almost impossible to settle to anything for long, because, as Mercury slows, you soon lose interest. If life becomes boring you'll want to liven it up in some way and it's likely you'll choose the most disruptive and controversial option you can think of, even though you know this will cause trouble.
