I was abandoned by this Dr. Kavlich, during suboxone treatment. He wrote me a script for 180 suboxone tabs. Drug Mart was out. So I took the script back to him. He gave me 30 and told me to come back PRN. So I did. When I did. He wanted to charge me for another office visit and drug test. On my prescription that he wrote for me. A drug store would not have done this. So, Im going to take legal steps against him. I have been so sick and depressed since this happened. I dont have insurance. I paid him literally thousands of dollars out of pocket. and I'm very sick still.

How were you abandoned?? I am just trying to make sense of this.If Drug Mart was out of your script, why didn't you go somewhere else?
I go to him also, and yes he charges for every visit- why would he not?
What does a drug store have to do with any of this?
I am just trying to figure out how you can justify legal action for a doctor doing his job.
I am an advocate for Suboxone treatment and would like to help if possible, but I just don't quite understand what the problem actually was.
Thanks

Patient First
This place is horrible and a scam!!
Should be investigated by the medical board for bad missleading practices!!
The doctor saw me for an earache. The nurse flushed my ears, and then the doctor came in.
Looked at me for no more than 1 min. and then came back with, hey you might need a decongestant for your ears. Handed me two boxes of over the counter medicines. Said take these, it will help. Some doctors offer samples. No, these were over the counter medicines and he was ready to charge for them. No warning or comments made that they were for a fee. Ready shady buisness practice, odd wierd doctor, who made you feel uncomfortable because of his creepiness.
Also, what's with all the junk, video games, etc. in the lobby? Is this a medical facility or a Bob Evans waiting area?

Im also a ex patient. He is a shady Dr. and the place is a mess and you sit in his waiting room which is a sauna. How about turning on the freekin air conditioning. And the back parking lot is full of trailers and some type of tar machine.

RUN!!! This Dr. and his staff are nuts! The staff was rude, extremely unintelligent, and I'm pretty sure they were on something illegal. The Dr. thought he was young and cool, I found him creepy. I will NEVER go there again!

I just have a question. I have been trying to get on the suboxone program, but everyone has a waiting list. Does he take medical mutual for the suboxone program and if I call first thing Monday morning do I stand a good chance of getting in? Thank You so much!!

My sister was employed by this idiot for one year. As soon as she could, she abandoned his practice. The man is a screaming, raving lunatic.

Oh yes, it's absolutely *Shady*. He hires people right out of school and treats them like shit.

He was pissed because she refused to clean his home. Maid service is certainly more expensive than what this asshole pays.

Avoid this place.

I went there with a possible case of pertussis (whooping cough) and he put me on amoxicillin and an OTC decongestant. I literally saw him for less than 1 minute. He looked in my ears and listened to my lungs and off I went. I was disappointed with the diagnosis because it was incorrect (I had bronchitus and needed an inhaler). He did seem very creepy, especially considering the number of attractive young fresh outs he had working in his office. The waiting room is completely unprofessional - this guy is a joke. Apparently doctors are a dime a dozen - it's so hard to find a good primary care doctor.

Yeah the waiting room is weried and so is the doctor..but ill tell you what I have been addicted to heroin and needed help and called every place that prescribes suboxone in my area and every person charged just as much if not more and every single place had waiting lists that were super long..I called patient first and had a appointment 4 hours after I called and had a bottle of suboxone the same day I called and within a hour of being there...this doctor saved me from shooting up for weeks while on a wating list..this guy saved my life..I would reccomend him to anyone in my situation..plus it was 3 days till christmas

I did a clinical internship with him & it was the most horrible experience I had. He insisted that I should order all this unnecessary test, just so that he can charge for them. He would buy used equipment, so that the clinic can do the test & charge you an arm & a leg for it. Men would come in for a check up & automatically, he would check the testosterone level (in an older man is normal to be somewhat low-aging process). He would suggest or prescribe either a cream or shots at the office-(office + shot charge everytime). He only hired young women 1 because they were naive & he treated them like slaves, 2 for eye candy....he was creepy!! He was constantly yelling at them, & would throw the pts record on the floor so that the MA would pick up his pile. Stay away from this guy!! I'm surprise he has not killed anyone yet.

I worked for this doctor as an intern though my school. He was so unprofessional, he would make the young girl Medical Assistants cry and do silly tasks that a MA would not be responsible for. He treated everyone in the office like dirt and would make fun of his workers by calling them names and putting them down. i could not wait until my internship was over and could get out of that office. it was also always so hot in the office. I worked there in the summer and it was normally hotter in the rooms than it was outside. STAY AWAY FROM HIM, he's rude to the patients and yells at his staff, so unprofessional.

Hi.
Is this guy family practice or pain management? The office has called to me to schedule an interview, and by reading these comments, I'm not sure if I should return their call. Any more info would be very helpful. Thank you :)

I've been a patient for years. While I'm also unhappy with the heat, waiting room, and problems associated with interns, I don't know of any other doctor who will always see me the day I call. I thought that was normal practice until I started asking friends about their doctors; nobody else can always see their doctor the day they call, and some wait days to see them. Since I only call a doctor when I'm really feeling awful, I'm not willing to wait days for treatment.

I've had a lot of different (unusual) medical problems over the years and I've often gone to specialists for follow up treatment. Dr. Kavlich has been correct with every diagnosis he's made. He diagnoses problems very quickly but he's also always willing to sit and answer all my questions. He's okay with treating multiple problems in one visit.(Some doctors won't do that.) So, while I've wondered about the necessity of a few tests over the years, I figure his treating multiple problems at each visit saved me the cost of at least the same number of appointments as I've really had.

He does have a lot of equipment; I wondered about the quality of it until my ortho surgeon used Dr. Kavlich's x-rays because they were better than the ones taken in the ortho's office.

The office part looks really disorganized, but the girls have always been able to get my file or x-rays quickly. I've had billing problems but one phone call straightens everything out.

The practice has strong and weak points like all practices have. I'm choosing to put up with the quirks and annoying waiting room in order to get the right diagnosis and right treatment on the same day I call- even when I call less than an hour before they close.

My boyfriend goes to him for Suboxone...Now, the dr. gives him soma & clonazepam also, which is really bad!! My boyfriend over takes it, & can't function properly~ He can't go to work, & sounds like he's drunk when he talks, plus it makes him so clumbsy...My boyfriend doesn't think this is a problem & the doctor probably won't listen to me because we're not married..so i really don't know what to do...

You wanna get high? Go to him, he'll give you what you want! He'll see you for 5 minutes tops, then send you on your way with some good presciptions, even if you're on Suboxone! All he cares about is getting the money! Wonder how many more lives he'll fuck up!!!

I have known Dr. Kavlich for at least a decade, both as primary care physician and also socially. He is as qualified and effective as any other doctor in the industry, if not more. His treatment is quick & effective and on a walk-in basis. He has a lot patients to treat and the younger staff to look over as well. The doctor happens to be a human being and working long hours. Therefore everyone, please give him a break. If you have someone else that can see you within one hour the by all means move to another doctor.(BTW-There are not a whole lot of Urgicare Centers in NE Ohio)

I did my externship with this Dr. and he is the meanest person I have ever met. He is both verbally and phisically abusive, the office is a pig sty. He constantly called his externs and employees stupid, retarded, worthless and throws things at them. I dreaded every day I had go there. He is an Evil quack!!!
