This was obtained via the Freedom of Information Act. Lets Quote Some Numbers. There is so many incidents for each school that it would take more space than ten forums on Topix. Thus, I am posting District totals, by year and only the serious incidents. Most recent year first.

Rockwall ISD Totals:

Year 2008-2009

111 Controlled Substances
15 Alcohol Incidents
83 Fighting Incidents
3 Unlawful Weapons
2 Indecent Exposures
7 Assaults

Year 2007-2008
42 Controlled Substances (was a good year)
84 Fights
12 Unlawful Weapons
7 Aggravated assaults
1 Assault Against an Employee
5 Terrorist Threats
17 cigarette violations

Year 2006-2007
97 Controlled Substances
94 Fights
7 Unlawful Weapons
4 Terrorist Threats

Today a butter knife is an unlawful weapon. We had real weapons, chains, knife (switchblade not butter knife), guns (shoulder holster and no one bothered the guy). I'm surprised at the number of unlawful weapons on campus in Rockwall if it's not for a butter knife. The kids today must be stoned 24/7, not that many drug offenses on campus when I was in school, but we had rapes and murders. We left the teachers and staff alone. Fights? Everyday! No, it was not in Rockwall.

No those illegal weapons are clearly labeled fire arms and unlawful knives.

Butter knives I doubt count. When I was in high school, I saw kids bring in little dinner knives to cut their food. Not steak knives or anything super ridged, just little dinner knives with little bitty teeth. Was not an issue back then, but times have changed, greatly.

Don't be to harsh, it could be a kid or some mom. Midol shouldn't be a controlled substance. RISD would have to be desperate and saturated to the point where Dallas ISD looks good for RISD to ban Midol. Then again, strange things happen in this town. Very strange things. And no one hears about it.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Virgo

You aren't fooling anyone - it's easy for everyone else to see that inexperienced people are unaware of their obligations, Virgo. You're grumpy about starting a familiar process from the beginning again, but don't let that get in the way of getting on with it. Sour grapes have no place in your daily dealings. Although you may 'own' a project, it's ultimately in the hands of someone else. Deal with it and then move on.
