Now that Cecil and his Gang have found a way to raise our water rates, let's remember this come election time so we can get a mayor and council in that has the where with all to know that large properties take more water. i.e. Larger homes with more bedrooms equal more family members. Larger lots,(that is what we brag about out here isn't it?)mean more landscaping water, even if it is planted with water conserving plants.(Seems Cecil must have an inside interest with the landscaping companies to get us all to change our landscaping.) When I see Mrs. C. out washing clothes on a wash board, I will believe Mr. C. has the citizens best interest in hand. Not gona' do it is she? Oh! Yes! M. Scott actually told the council they were making a mistake thinking we could all survive in a household with 12,000 gallons a billing period. What is left to raise now?

You have no concept what are high water rates. Try a base charge of about $120 per month for water and sewer before you take your first drink of water or flush the toilet (water usage is extra). Yes, the people of LRE feel your pain.
Did I mention that you have no concept what are high water rates.
Maybe the city will increase the water rates of Rockwall to match the rates in LRE so that the water service will be equal and they will not be obligated to provide service to LRE.(Keep it under your hat, it will be our secret.)

Here we go again, whining about LRE. Who did you whine to before the annexation, Right of the Lake? I chose Rockwall, you chose LRE.. Enough said.

Right of the Lake (a/k/a/ JM)--If your water rates are so high why not move someplace where the City of Rockwall already provides water, instead of asking the entire city to pay to run water lines to you!

I attended a bunch of those hearings and I never heard anyone promise LRE water. I heard everyone say they would work on it. There are places in Rockwall (City of) that have been in the city for years that still don't have city water. What makes you think you should get water within 8 months of being annexed? Get in line.

Local Dude is sooooo right. Get in line. Just because you have been annexed does not mean you get everything first. Constant harassment of getting all you think you need is getting you nowhere.

The subject of this forum is about Rockwall water rates going up. If you have compaints about another area, start your own forum. Guess how many will care.

(b) The service plan, which must be completed in the period provided by Subsection (a) before the annexation, must include a program under which the municipality will provide full municipal services in the annexed area no later than 2-1/2 years after the effective date of the annexation, in accordance with Subsection (e), unless certain services cannot reasonably be provided within that period and the municipality proposes a schedule for providing those services, and must include a list of all services required by this section to be provided under the plan. If the municipality proposes a schedule to extend the period for providing certain services, the schedule must provide for the provision of full municipal services no later than 4-1/2 years after the effective date of the annexation.

(g) If the annexed area had a lower level of services, infrastructure, and infrastructure maintenance than the level of services, infrastructure, and infrastructure maintenance provided within the corporate boundaries of the municipality before annexation, a service plan must provide the annexed area with a level of services, infrastructure, and infrastructure maintenance that is comparable to the level of services, infrastructure, and infrastructure maintenance available in other parts of the municipality with topography, land use, and population density similar to those reasonably contemplated or projected in the area. If the annexed area had a level of services, infrastructure, and infrastructure maintenance equal to the level of services, infrastructure, and infrastructure maintenance provided within the corporate boundaries of the municipality before annexation, a service plan must maintain that same level of services, infrastructure, and infrastructure maintenance. Except as provided by this subsection, if the annexed area had a level of services superior to the level of services provided within the corporate boundaries of the municipality before annexation, a service plan must provide the annexed area with a level of services that is comparable to the level of services available in other parts of the municipality with topography, land use, and population density similar to those reasonably contemplated or projected in the area.

So when you don't have water in 2-1/2 or 4-1/2 years, you can bitch about it then. But you haven't been in the city a year yet, so stop your complaining! And, again, get in line.

A group in this town does not like anybody that disagrees with them. They are still trying to be in the spot light after all these years. Their goal is to defeat a certain group, individual or persons that do not think like they do. Those people are truly closed minded and do not want any publicity that would show anything that would seem their word is not the last word. They will argue, lie to save themselves or their cause to keep from being held responsible for their actions. This is not the NHT group, but a group of old hasbeens in this town and a lawyer that wants publicity.

I would like to see you go first. Instead its going to be a world of young people and Matt Scott who will replace are old hides. I cant imagine 30 more years of listening to Matt Scott on these blogs on his sorry website at council meeting on his website and just knowing he is around upsets me. all of you go jump in his harbor and that tub of concrete that matt scott build himself!!!.

Oh yes he dam well did you sorry basterd. Matt Scott had friends he phone friends and said be nice if my kids can swim at the new water hole. We need a water hole for all district kids. Schools agree need beig water hole for matt Scotts kids. So built big harbor hole. MAtt Scott is happy has something to drink from thesen days. Water better than all prescripton that float in the city water supply. Why matt scott not get better water for city and not have all them things in it that water report says its safe but all them listed dont think its safe even if matt scott says its safe. Him and cecil wants to make hollywood in rockwall wants to bring in monies and get big pat on back. Bad enioguhb we have that sorry kid with dreadlocks in rockwall and he gets paid by Cecil to play at places ij city., Not even that good only little terd that playes music that is from rockwall. Only reason why people like him. If he from californa no one like him. Cause he would be democrat like Matt Scott. Rockwall no liked democrats cause dont realize republicans stab their own in the back and like to pockers themselves. Only sorry folks on republican clubs like to look out for the self. Has Matt Scott in the mixed, must be nice to have a democrat amongst them it angers the republicans. maybe they run him out or roast him, maybe he will run against Bob Dole and get beat and run from Rockwall with tears in eyes like pretty boy he is.

I get so tired of Matt Scott bothering every person he can do. Somehow, lawyers think because they can sue that they can treat all badly, bite, and no one will bite back. I am counting the days until that man's political career ends.

Well the old crow from Rowlett is back. Still alive I see. Guess your latest divorce did not kill you. What's this, D-I-V-O-R-C-E number three? Heard you got worried your current husband's illness was going to drain your finances so you are dumping him. Such a good, sweet, little old lady. Why are you worried so much about money? You won't be around much longer to spend it anyway.

It is so funny that Hal thinks the "party" actually needs him and that Leon is helping him. Leon never helped anyone. He is all about himself. He knows he can use Hal to do deeds he can't do now that he resigned thinking he would be a commissioner soon. Last place! Shows what Leon really knows thinking he would be voted in to a commissioner spot. Poor Hal. Is he running for Ken's spot as number two wannabe?

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Scorpio

Take it slowly today otherwise you'll be almost guaranteed to lose your temper and make yourself very unpopular in the process. If someone is annoying you, you won't need any encouragement to start a row because you're looking for outlets for your current ire and irritation. OK, but do your best to direct your anger at the person who deserves it and not at innocent bystanders.
