The drunks are getting younger and younger. This is how some kids behave.

OMG students in a Montgomery County Public School consuming alcohol, I find that hard to believe this story, because any self respecting student in a Montgomery County Public School would be either at dickerson, the mall, seneca park, or carderrock... not in class, except for the overacheivers.

Let's see now--Rockville would be in Montgomery County, right? Not PG, like some of you want to portray as the pits for things like this.

The shootings and drive-bys sure take care of the drunks, don't they?!

OMG! I can't believe what a big deal this is! I did this back in junior high in the 70's. Don't tell me none of you ever did anything like that! I don't condemn it but it happens.

I never did it and my children never did it. You think it is not a big deal??? Then I am not surprised you did it in the 70's. Alcohol has never been allowed in my house. And they all survived and none of them have problems today.

I was drunk on my (rear end) for the last month of my senior year. No one ever noticed. We would fill soda bottles with vodka and drink for most of the day, in class, in the halls, and at lunch.

I am sure your children have tried alcohol and just dont tell you...drinking is not "having a problem" these kids are in middle school...they try things and test you parents to see what will happen...i agree with everyone else...why do they have this junk on the news??? this happens all the time...

Lets see does this school have a problem. The principal is all of a sudden retiring. Just last week some boys were injured during school hours playing on or near a soccer goal post. And MCPS has constatnly denied this school contruction funding for fixing a enviroment where learning is a problem. Can you wonder why the parents who have advocated to address displine issues, construction issues and leadership issues at this school all of a sudden find themselves shelling out the money to go to a brand new school such as Good Council. Neglect by the school system on a problem has gone on way to long here. Wake up Dr. Weast and Mrs. Navaro, your inability to show leadership is a glaring weakness.

They were probably fornicating right in your house while you were making cookies.

fed up.....Poor pitiful you. You made a comment stating they do shootings and drive-byes in PG County, and are drunk and high in Montgomery County. Their are plenty of students in both Counties that are hard-working students, and also honor roll material. This has nothing to do with the County. Trust me when I tell you, you can't give me anything I can't give back!!

HEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEE! That is what I said. Oh No, let's see who the parents blame for this one. Is it the school principal, the teachers, or maybe the bus drivers.

I learned how to drink in school! This is big news! They got caught! There are more kids than that drinking at school. Forget the metal detectors. Bring out the breathalizers!

I see no problem with this. I personally allow my 8th grade son to drink anytime he wants to. Hopefully this will get it out of his system.
