The courage that firefighters have to take on these challenges to save lives show them to be among the bravest of the brave. Remember all these heroes when you see the next article criticizing them.

this is every firefighter's wifes worst nightmare! You go to bed, each night your spouse is working not thinking, about the idea of them not coming through the door in the morning. My husband is working today , he has been a Montgomery County firefighter for almost 20 years.I can still only imagine what the wives, children ,parents and fellow firefighters of these brave men are going through. Please stop and pray for these brave men & women who protect us, and who now have to go on knowing their "brothers are down" I will also be praying that my husband will come home safe to me and my kids tomarrow morning.

Our family of 6, now 5, lost our brother in this tragedy. We are the children of a career firefighter, ourselves, our father was a Firefighter for Silver Spring for almost 30 years in the 50's, 60's and 70's. Our brother is now in heaven with our father, who was there with our mother, waiting with open arms. The family would like to express our thoughts, gratitude and prayers to the injured firefighters, and their families, and ask that donations be made on their behalf to the Heroes Foundation. Our prayers go out also to everyone touched by this tragedy. We will miss our brother deeply.
