Thomas "Tiger" Moynihan, who now lives in Glastonbury, admitted that he committed the burglaries to feed a heroin habit.
Police also learned from Moynihan where he had been taking the stolen items to trade for cash or heroin and obtained a search warrant for an apartment on Standish Street in Hartford, Custer said.
This seems like the story that Outspoken mentioned in another forum. This just gives credence to everything that I have been saying...
1. There are drug addicts in the surburbs.
2. Surburbanites coming into Hartford to do thier dirty deeds and helping to increase the crime in Hartford.
This is just one story, but I am quite sure there are a LOT MORE!

I hate to rain on your parade, but I live in Glastonbury, and most of the drugs and crime in this town happen in a place called Welles Village. Welles Village is subsidized housing (low income) filled with...you guessed it, minorities from Hartford. Most of the people living in there are black and Hispanic, and they move here from the city, and that is where the cops are most of the time, because that is where all the trouble is happening.

Look, crime happens, it just so happens that the urban areas are more concentrated with people who are not educated. that's a damn fact that everybody with a computer isn't grasping, atleast the minorities in here anyways. if you had any dignity, you'd leave that hell hole as soon as you could. The only problem is that you won't becuase want to "stick together" listen, you haven't BEEN stick together since the damn late 70's-early 80s when crack came into the picture. AND NOBODY put a gun to the drug dealers head and shoved that rock onto his hands/pockets. If you saw a crack dealer on your street, and you didn't report, then you should be held responsible as well for the deterioration of your neighborhood/community.

Does not matter what color you are, if you're a heroin addict you may well steal if you've not got cash to pay for your problem. At least they caught him. Maybe he can now be treated for his problem!
