Posey came to Osceola to meet with his voters and got involved in a sunshine law problem. Jay Wheeler and the Supertindent of Osceola County Schools were having a private meeting with Mr. Posey. An immature dumb school board member just walked into the meeting (where School District Business was being discussed) and sat down to become part of the conversation because he does not understand the adult world where we have sunshine laws! Mr. Posey should have told Julius Melendez he was meeting with someone who already had an appointment! That did not happen and business was supposedly stopped to chat with Melendez. Grow up Melendez and as the News Gazette said there were two qualified candidates and he was not one of them!

Ever since the republicans crucified the disabled war hero Max Cleland and smeared John Kerry's war record, they get no sympathy from this vet.

It wasn't that they were making a slur, they were repeating a rumor that many, many people are discussing. Why can't Mr. Posey just address the rumors by producing a proper birth certificate? Then folks won't wonder if he is the love child of a human and a gator and won't wonder about the constitutionality of having a someone who isn't 100% American Human serving as a congresscritter.

At least he gives new meaning to the term "congresscritter."

the birth certificate was given the wing nuts simply said it was a fake at that point it just shows you can not reason with zealots.

It doesn't matter what the birth certificate says, Posey is definitly not "NATURAL born" if he is descended from an aligator.

The only conclusion I can draw about people who label Posey as an extremist is that they don't know much about him other than what they've read or heard in the last few weeks. He's always been responsible, clear-minded, realistic, and in touch with his constituents. But I guess it's easy for someone to watch the Colbert Report and MSNBC and then blog all about the right-wing nut job to whom they are so adamantly opposed.

I understand if you disagree with is positions, but to those of us who have followed his career and lived in his district, calling someone like Posey a right-wing extremist is borderline comical.

People need to stop defending Posey. The first thing he does in Washington is jump on the partisan attack wagon and lashes out at Obama, the popular new president?

Come on.

Weldon got a zero rating from environmental groups in his voting for his district. Indian river and the Space Coast have major environmental needs which could help bolster environmental tourism and jobs. Why not clean up Indian river estuary and use federal funds to do it, providing for local economic stimuli?

Posey is a GOP hack, but let's see if he can graduate to actual public servant, let alone have a conscience for his district.

I'm very concerned about the rumors that Congressman Posey is part alligator. How is that even possible? It's just sick to think about. I urge the congressman to clear up these rumors and submit a DNA sample.
