I am truly saddened by this tragic accident, and I can only hope that folks reading about this will realize many things -- most importantly, the dangers of drinking and driving and the importance of honoring the speed limits. My heart goes out to the families of these young people.

Such a sad sad thing. My daughter worked @ First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital that day. They were very badly messed up when they were brought in. The two that were thrown from the vehicle were badly identifiable. The other girl was just dangling upside down dead. For the parents of these young adults, my heart goes out to you. Such a shame that they have to go through a horrible experience like this. It's too bad that these young adults were mixed up with the drugs. Young adults & teenagers are so reckless these days. This could be you.

Why do you feel compelled to give out the details of injuries of these children..shame on you!

I didn't read that any where, it only said that there is blood work pending... Speed could have been the only factor other than the obvious.

Totally unprofessional and unethical to discuss the details of a case with you. What did you say her name was?

I believe the article said they found a substance believed to be crystal meth in the car....wouldn't that lead you to believe they were "mixed up with drugs"?

This is stupid that everyone has their panties in a wad because of the details of the injuries being talked about. This isnt a guestbook a the funeral home. What about the people who witnessed the accident and stopped? They didnt get any inside hospital information and didnt need to because they saw it up close. Lastly I think anyone who drives on the road should have to take the ALIVE@25 class like I was made to do and be made to watch RED ASPHALT 5. If you cant handle seeing what can happen in accident to someone then you shouldnt be driving.

This could be you. What is really bad is that your daughter clearly violated the HIPPA law by telling you anything about the incident and then you go and post it on a public forum. Shame on both of you. You only hurt their families more with your post and your daughter could and should lose her job over this.

Oh Please wrote: <quoted text> could lose her job over this. This very true , worked at a Hospital up in the Northeast on some computers that envolved accident reports , medical records , etc. Saw some people I knew on those records (yes I lived up there for quite a few)and certain "issues" they had. I had a COMPLETE understanding that you would NEVER violate that confidentiality and I mean at all even from a moral standpoint. Could you imagine me running to my neighbors and discussing things like that - negative. I realize the person that posted doesn't know those people that died but it's just common sense.

It's one thing to see something like this happen up close and hope I never have too, but it's another thing to be in the medical profession and diclose this type of information. I agree that this employee should be written up and reevaluated for her position. It bad enough for the families to know what happened, but it's none of the general public business.

Why even bother testing there blood. Leave the poor kids alone, they are dead. Why give them a bad name? Nothing good can come about because of it and it would on;y make it harder for the families.

I bleive it is only a violation if names, SSN's and any identifying details are released. I could be wrong, but that being said a description was not necessary.

I lost one of my children in a accident and I know what these parents are going through and will continue to go through. Why do people always want to look at the bad in someone after their gone instead of pointing out the good. May these children rest in peace and the parents have the strength to carry on.

Nice explanation for the family to read, and also a huge violation of privacy act policy that could cost your daughter her job, and end her butt up in jail. Nice job without thinking about others!
