Kent City lottery winner has criminal past

Why does the news have to bring up his criminal past at such a happy time of his life. That stinks. Just think of the embarassment that it puts on him........ At least he can laugh at ya and say ----------Im a Millionare......HAHAHAHAHAHAHA H

Hey, anybody hear about that guy who won the lottery who has a criminal past?

I agree with froggy, leave the guy and his family alone. He served his time and will the rest of his life if he sticks around here. Congratulations dude, take the money, enjoy it, live and for Gods sake invest and spend wisely. Luck like this will not happen again. You lucky dog.

Who cares about his past? He's served his time and is compliant. Be happy for the guy. Geez!

West Michigan is really hard on sex offenders. Hopefully his winnings will make things easier to get beyond his past and move forward.

You don't say. I'll bet by the time we get through raking him over the coals for every sin he has ever committed will be up to around 650 Posts by tomorrow morning. My cousin isn't a baby rapper!!That is a bum rape that was placed on him in the twisted court system of northern Mich . He did choose the wrong people to hang out with in the 80's to start a big spiral down hill from there , but I'll tell you this ; he has had it hard ALL HIS LIFE growing up!! Fred is hard working and loyal and should be left alone to enjoy some peace. I think people outta mind there own business. He's served his time and his past is nobody elses business. God blessed him with Millions... so he must be doing something right. God bless him and his family.

I personally dont get why this is a story. Yeah, he's on the sex offender registry. What does that have to do with him winning the lottery. Hopefully he'll move far away so there is one less possible sicko in our neighborhoods. WHY IS THIS NEWS?!?!?

let the man enjoy his winnings he bought the ticket we didn't I feel it was wrong of the news to bring up his past that should be discrimination. what they all jealous they didn't win so they want to air his dirty laundry in the wind screw them . Just the fact that WOOD TV would make it point to say that he's a registered sex offender etc makes them look like they're trying to start trouble by rallying all those criminally self-rightious do-gooders into a torch and pitchfork mob.

If I am not mistaken, this man has served his time, has registered as he's required to do, and is now living his life in a law abiding manner. He paid is 'debt to society'--why is this news? It borders on harassment. TV8 is no better than the National Enquirer.
