Man crashes car into building

i hope he doesn't have state farm car insurance!

At least the bldg s/b insured. Let's hope the driver had State Farm insurance. Maybe he was looking for the drive through window?

I'm glad he is okay and no one one was hurt. At least he was going relatively slow at the time and was smart enough to get off the main street.

Uh, I don't think he intentionally got off the main street; Fortunately, he wasn't on the expressway or on a busy road with a higher speed limit

I can't imagine what kind of "medical condition" would cause someone to do this. I can see going straight and losing control but this took some steering too.

Hey WOOD, does it really make any difference that he was driving a Monte Carlo?
Probably want to blame his car just like they always want to blame SUV's for accidents.
Do you suppose he can say the building moved in front of him?

hey there Beth. I sadly happen to know what type of "medical condition" this guy could have had. It seems he probably had a seizure. That is, by Michigan law, defined as, any loss of consciousness. As for the steering involved, let's call that a day that got worse. He will have no drivers license for six months according to the same law.

My young son and I were walking past that exact spot yesterday at that same time! Yikes!! What a difference a day makes.

Maybe he didn't like his insurance rates?

The story says he is 30 years old.

My younger brother recently had a seizure while he was drving. He drove up on a side walk hit a fence and managed to get back on the road and to his home. Pretty soon the police showed up at his house around 9 am and wanted to know if he had been drinking he said no it is 9 am and the police told him what happen and he had absolutely no memory of it. He had to go to the doctor and get lots of testing done and is now on medication. He has lost his license. He needs to be seizure free for 6 months before he gets it back. He has been seizure free now for about 3 months.
