1 how about the fact they don't pay their employees for hours worked? or bened over backwards to rip your 'shift bonus'. they will leave your check 150 dollars short and then beg you for ot the next day. they're the scum that lies underneath scum. one of the most money hungry and corrupt companies you could work for. |

Whomever says working there is enjoyable doesn't work on the call floor and is probably works in HR and is typing it to improve the hiring stats b/c of the ridiculous turnover rate.
Its sucks working there. You've probably hear allot but let me remind you. I was hired in March of 2007 and was lied to the entire step of the way. I was told I would be paid $12.00/hr then after my 90 day training was up, told it was $9hr with a "shift differential" that would equal $12/hr. It was then changed to a "shift bonus" and qualifications were changed on a weekly basis w/o notice until a week after the change so most would never receive the bonus such as if your 30 seconds late from break you loose $120.00 from your paycheck. Our computers were so slow that they REQUIRED us to arrive 20 min before the start of our shift WITHOUT PAY in order to have our systems up and ready EXACTLY at the start of our shift. Taking the time wile signed in would be a write up and a loss of the "shift bonus" Heath care costs were $250.00 PER CHECK for me and my spouse. They violated federal law by not sending me my Health car information after 90 days of employment nor offering to print even a single document of it within there building. They were over a month late in sending me this information but were fine with taking $400.00 from a single paycheck and never returning it. Human resources were completely rude when you would approach with ANY question and would even YELL at you just for coming to see them and then tell you how stupid my supervisor or manager was for sending you over. Health care violations were widely apparent from aspestus in the bathrooms, to unclean workstations, and non-insulated wires resulting in multiple employee electric shocks from faulty headsets. The turnover rate is ridiculous at this place and SUPERVISOR turnover is worse since there is no increase in pay (supervisors are informed they will get a bonus but never do). We were constantly told that if not for NCO we could only get a job at burger king and were disrespected constantly. This kind of disrespect and insulting remarks come from the top and trickles down through the managers, to supervisors, with the call reps and supervisors getting the worst of it. They withheld our checks on two separate occasions (not the site manager's, HR, or Payroll staffs though) in order to increase a payroll statistic. Call ops would grad us incorrectly and mark off even though we would follow the manual to the letter. For example. The manual states clearly "transfer to blackberry tech for such and such issue". We would be marked off even thought the manual was not updated during the call or even when reviewing the call a week later! As for them stating none of us can do better than NCO, I quit in April of 2007 to back to New York, got my Job back at the bank I worked previously, and am making $30,000.00 a year as an Anti-Money Laundering Compliance specialist two weeks after getting hired back and my Health care cost is now $20.00 a month instead of $500.00. So for those of you still working at that Joke of a call center, you DO HAVE A RIGHT to something better and CAN DO BETTER. |

1 First of all, you are LIED to from the moment you sign the papers in your second interview on...Don't believe a word anyone tells you unless you actually see it for your self. People come in and out during your training class and say that they were only working there for X amount of time (x being a small number, like 2 weeks in production), and then they became Red Hats, or Training Assistants, or Trainers, or Supervisors. Yeah......right! IF that were true, that would explain the shoddy way they train and handle their employees. I was promised on my second interview that C (the guy from HR who hired me) would try as much as he could to get me a day shift w/ weekends off. Even ONE weekend day would've been fine! Two people in the class that started training a WEEK after me got that shift! Not ME!! When you're in training, it's like they vomit all of this information on you at once, turn you loose on the phones and expect you to navigate through systems, keep conversation with the customer, trouble shoot their phone problems, remember the policy, remember if they changed the policy (and they do change them often), keep all of your drivers up, your scores high, your talk time low...blah, blah, blah. They have very unreal expectations of their employees, and wonder why they have a huge turn-over rate, and why their scores are low. When they tell you to do something, they might come in three days later and tell you to do something completely contradictory to what they had originally told you to do. After 13 weeks of training, I STILL didn't know who my Supervisor was b/c "they were still working it out". When I complained to BOB about it, he started out by saying, "I can really understand how difficult that is for you....." if you've worked there, you KNOW that's the SAME BULL that we are instructed to feed the customers for EMATHETIC points. Then, they wanted me to come in on the ONE night I requested off b/c of some shift differential thing, I didn't mind doing the extra day, but I asked for a certain day off b/c of school. So, I went in on my other day off, and was instructed by the Supervisor that was supposed to be "babysitting" me to sit off to the side so he could see me if I needed help,(which I often do b/c I am fresh out of training and I want to do a good job and double and triple check everything so I don't get OCR or low scores). Every time I raised my hand for him to come and help me, he ignored me! WTH? I had to go to a different bay to get help from that Supervisor. That on top of having the systems running slowly (yes, and have to wait 15 mins for your systems to come up, but not clocked in yet), or not having the systems that you NEED running period for some "system error" it's a bunch of crap. It's NOT worth the hassle of not seeing your family all week. Or not having a life EVER b/c you're tied to that dead-end job. I would not want to be a a Supervisor, Trainer, Red Hat, anything there! I wouldn't even want the job the cleaning lady has!! I am so quitting as soon as I can get out of there. I just hate doing it unless I have somewhere else to go to. |

Well I worked there for 6 months and pi hated every minute of it, but I suck it up and did my job cuz I hated the complainers too. Well one weekend my 5th month in I called in sick the whole weekend. I was bad. Well when I got back Monday night I was told by my sup that I may have to go to the big bosses and beg for my job. I was like um why? And he said that over the weekend they made the rule that if you worked a shift where you worked EVERY weekend and you called in you could be fired if you didn't have a good enough excuse. So for 3 weeks every single day it was like 'oh you might get fired tomorrow.' Well I'm sorry that is WAY too much verbal and emotional/psychological abuse so I was like fine I quit. Then they really fucked themselves by asking if I could go part time! So every time someone asks if its a good place to work I laugh and tell them that story. That's is ncos bread and butter. |
