President Obama achieved yet another percentage point over Romney today. The AVERAGE of the 9 major polls which Real Clear Politics tracks has gone up +3.0, with President Obama at +47.4 and Romney at +44.4 today.

Rasmussen has dropped Romney to 2.0, and CBS/NYT is now at 1.0, both over President Obama. There are NO ties.

The 7 polls showing President Obama over Romney range from +2 to +10 percent over Romney!

I have always been impressed with the polls conducted by Quinnipaic University, Hamden, Connecticut. They appear to be very professional in conducting and analyzing their polls. Quinnipaic / CBS / New York Times released a poll on Aug. 1, for the "swing states" of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. The results are NOT good for Romney:

FLORIDA: Obama 51 - Romney 45
OHIO: Obama 50 - Romney 44
PENNSYLVANIA: Obama 53 - Romney 42
