This is the sort of individual that I would prefer was executed, rather than spending his life in jail at taxpayer expense.

There is no way this sort of monster could be rehabilitated. If ever released, he is extremely likely to continue his horrors.

The way I see it, either rehabilitate a criminal into a productive citizen, or execute him. Eternal imprisonment is not preferable to execution, because of the massive expense, risk of his ever getting out and continuing doing what he does best, and moreover is far crueler than simply ending it.

We put down rabid animals, fighting dogs etc as a mercy. I figure animals like this should be treated no differently. It isn't as if there is any possibility that he was innocent of any of these horrific acts. He's caught red-handed.

DNA says it all.

This man (too kind of a term) has ruined many lives. There isn't a day that goes by that this painful memory doesn't surface.

Now the loons in Hollywood feel that Roman Polanski should go free for raping a 13 year old girl. Oprah says, "rape isn't rape." Well Oprah please tell these women that rape isn't rape.

What is this world coming to? I know what should happen to this guy, now it is up to the courts to handle.

Life in prison is to good for this guy. Why should tax dollars be spent housing and feeding someone who can't and won't be rehabilitated. We need the death penalty here. If this were Texas he wouldn't be an issue anymore.

We can all guess that this male raped more than what has been reported. Spann has no feelings, knows no limits, respects nobody and is impossible to rehabilitate. There is no " re" as in rehabilitate when there never was a decent person to begin with. Such as you cannot
" rebuild " a house if there never was one in the first place. When a rapist like Spann is caught let him live among others like him but on a far northern impossible to escape from remote island off the north shore of Alaska.
Yes let them feed the bears.

What about the "girlfriend". The daughter reports being molested and the girlfriend is going to "talk to him". Sick.

First they should just cut the thing off of him and let him suffer without pain meds, then let the women beat and choke him like he did to them. This man should not get the pleasure of living in prison on our tax dollars so they need to tell him bye bye. He will be back out in the society and will redo just what he was caught doing in the first place because our judicial system does not punish to fit the crime. I hope that he rots soon.

again, as I have postd before...the Death Penalty needs to be passed into law for Minnesota.true, this man has killed no one but the crimes he has commited, well if found guilty he should be put to death. A case such as this is a perfect example of someone who is in definite need of such a sentence. It is time for lawmakers to take a stand against thugs and losers such as this and execute them.....let's take a stand and well this would be an awesome place to start.
