Megan Merkel, Upstate Woman Blamed In Death Of Teacher, Wants Haters To 'Suck A ___ And Choke On It'

Jul 30, 2012 Full story: The Village Voice 308

After allegedly mowing down a teacher while driving drunk, nothing screams "class" more than taking to Facebook to declare your innocence -- and tell the "haters" to "suck a dick and choke on it." That's what an Upstate woman did over the weekend after allegedly killing a high school biology teacher near Rochester while driving drunk...at 7:45 a.m.

B.S.
Her past includes losing her children.
if THAT don't wake you up, DWI'S and manslaughter won't either.
quit with the defense and how badly YOUR family feels. and Scumbag, we haven't even started on, because we KNOW he's a total loss.
She let her children slip away. That doesn't happened overnight. Enough. Stop.
Exactly. I can respect family loyalty but enough. She lost her kids, has been arrested for a multitude of crimes, responsible for Facebook postings that were as vile as they come the same day this tragedy happened. Is any of that untrue? And from these facts we draw our opinions. As for the "hindsight regret", is not a viable excuse for unconscionable behavior. And that's what we have here. Two people acting without conscience or regard for the safety of others. The families can do their redirection in the safety of a prison visiting room. Good Luck.....

They should make all drunk drivers live all together on one island with a bunch of bars and give them all free cars.

Honestly I cant even put into words how I feel about this situation. So many things to say but i dont even know where to begin. You dont have anyyy clue why she is the way she is. she is in jail for a long time and she has a lot of time to get her self together to start a new life for when she gets out. im no longer sitting here reading these comments by people that dont even know megan and think they do. I undertand people have their opinions on her but to sit here and just talk about her life when it has NOTHING to do with accident is just crazy. Dont tell me to quit being sorry, of course we are sorry for the victims family. It makes me sick to know that the two children lost their mom forever because of a stupid mistake.

She will not be in jail that long, cause whites that do this type of crime normally don't get much of a sentence.
If they keep her in jail till the trial, it will end up being time served and she will be out and free, free to start her "new life" as you say, free to dye her hair again, free to do drugs and drink all night and day, free to drive drunk and on drugs without a license again. Obviously with the comments she has said on her FB and on the news she doesn't think she is at any fault, she thinks she couldn't have done anything different.

"because of a stupid mistake"??? That statement shows to me that you and your fcktarded family take no real responsibility for what happened. What was the stupid mistake? Driving like an asshat? Doing drugs and driving? Drinking and driving? Driving without a license? Staying up all night partying? Hanging out with a felon? Meeting people she didn't know at a trailer park? Driving from party to party? Which stupid "mistake" are you referring to that night?

In the eyes of Megan and her family, she only made one mistake and that was getting caught.

QUOTE:......."sit here and talk about her life when it had NOTHING to do with (insert: the) accident is just crazy"

In life, every action has a reaction. Megan and her friends have acted insuch a manner that has had negative reactions: drug and alcohol abuse, lack of education/motivation, lack of respect for societal rules, non-existent parenting skills etc. But this time, Megan's miscreant behavior resulted in the loss of a beautiful soul. She now needs to face the consequences like an adult, make amends with her higher power and make restitution for her wreckless lifestyle. We can only go forward, not back. Making excuses for her behavior is enabling and needs to stop.

Living in disgrace?
They played a game. Like frisbee, kickball or hopscotch, it's just a game. Adults pay hard earned cash to paint themselves crayola colors and attend. They drink the beer, eat the hot dogs buy the memorabilia wear their shirts with their favorite number on it and hunt them down for autographs. Meanwhile, there are some pretty amazing people out there who have truly worked hard, had truly sacrificed and have done some truly remarkable things. The disgraceful thing is that no one knows any of these remarkable people or what they have done. It's disgraceful when people turn their heads while children get molested for the sake of preserving a football program. Do you think Bonds is disgraced? Who was worshiping this false idol? They're the ones that should be disgraced. He's laughing all the way to the bank.
This is an older post but whammo---- you hit it out of the park-nail on the head perfect with your response. Celebrityship in any form is regaled in our culture and many of them have feet of clay or even worse......

Hey Blank,
Do you think this P.O.S.'s family is making excuses for her, also?
Do you think maybe this is why Megan's children were removed; so that this DIDN'T happen?
Losers.
Is Megan from Pennsyltucky, by the way?

Let's make a deal. If she gets a sentence of longer than 2 yrs on conviction. Then you and all your aliases have to get off of Topix forever.
Bet you are too scared to take that bet. Put your money where your big fat black mouth is.

I'm glad because you watch the news you feel entitled to rip someone apart on a blog, I hope you feel very high and mighty. Honestly you do not personally know her or the situation so like I said Leave it to the court to decide what will happen. You must have a hard time reading it said attempted to flee the scene, although its not right how many people think clearly when things like that happen?? Would you? Also, her family has nothing to do with her. I love how people are acting like she legitimately aimed for this woman and ran her over...unlike her uncle who intentionally killed someone this was an accident. Last, majority of you people who are so "appalled" by her language on Facebook are probably the ignorant people posting nasty comments the only difference is you don't have to put a name and face to the shit talking and can go on about your day without having random people from the community judging you.
You disgust me just as much as this situation.

I agree

Dear Bill:

One wouldn't think it's possible but you are actually transmitting your IQ (or lack of) through your posts. And even more importantly, you're proving what the rest of us are saying: there are lowlifes and then there are the rest of us.

Funny aren't I?

How about the fact that she is WHITE????
Being white will explain all the other facts, but it will excuse her from a harsh sentence.
What does white have to do with it? Dante Stallworth (BLACK) NFL player was DWI and ran someone over and KILLED HIM, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail. He was released after 21 days for good behavior. I've posted this before, but none of you have ever said anything about it. Why is that?
