Kindercare Daycare center in Penfield

I'd like to know what people think of Kindercare raising the parents tuition around 5 -6 mos ago. Reason why, was to give the teachers an increase in pay, and to make improvements. The teachers never got that raise till last week, The raises? about 20 cents an hour. The improvements? 2 rooms painted. About 20 bucks worth of paint. Teachers are quitting in disgust. They have raked in thousands and corporate greed being what is is, took the money and ran. What do the parents think of this i'd like to know? Do you want quality care? Did you hope your child's teacher would be compensated properly? Is that where you thought your money was going? It's where they said it was. Seems like Fraud to me.

I think if the parents were told the increase was for raises for the teachers, they ought to have gotten them.
Why did they wait 5 or 6 months? The teachers should get back pay owed then for that time. And Parents should demand to know where their money has gone.
The most precious thing we have is our children. Those who care for them should be taken care of. They deserve it.
It is Fraud. At the very least a major deception.

If anyone gave me a raise of 20 cents...I'd tell them where to shove it. That's more of an insult than anything else.

I think they should all quit too. That is insanity. 20 cents an hour! lol. You would make more at more at McDonald's. Plus, get free burgers for lunch.

My friend works there. But looking for new job. Her raise was only 9 cents an hour. So if twenty cents an hour is insulting, what does 9 cents mean?
These people are lame. I never got anything less than 25 cent an hour raises.

Ridiculous. Someone's pockets are getting full.

Here's my take, if they raised the price by even $10.00 and have roughly 75 kids, that makes $750.00 a week. Sounds like the raises take about $25.00 of that.
It's Corporate Greed in action. So many companies mismanage, or are just plain greedy. Hence their downfall eventually.

And seeing how they apparently screw the workers and parents, they are making plenty.

My son goes to Miss Rita's. My older one did too. The turnover is very low, we have been so happy there. They pay way more than the average daycare and that's how they keep the same teachers for yrs. Our first son had the same teacher as our little guy and it's been 7 yrs.

The aol'ers continue their usual stupid posts...

They raised the price. The extra money was for raises they never gave. 6 mos later the raises came in. A FRACTION of the money they raked in was given for the raises.

I love the the yearly re-registration fees. For new toys and processing. I never see new anything and why do I need to pay $75.00 bucks more when my kids are in the computer system anyway. To me that is highway robbery. Just another way to give themselves a raise. I can't wait till my kids are older and I am done with daycare.

Any company is only as good as the people who work there. Those people who made a committment to those kids deserve to get a decent raise for heaven's sake. It is not easy caring for other people's children in a daycare. You have to keep children happy who are not even fed before the are yanked out of bed and dragged out of the house. The parents show up late, drop off their kids sick, wheezing, with fevers etc. You call them to come get their sick child, they won't return the call. Usually the Directors are heartless, only worried about the bottom line. And as you can see, the poor workers are screwed out a decent raise they should have recieved. All this for $7.30 an hour? No thank you. Kindercare do the right thing.

Kindercare should do the right thing and fire the whiners...
To the employees:
The company pays your wages, regardless of how much that is..
As an employee, STFU and do a good job..
If you don't like it, leave...

to Kindercare employees. The company cheated you out of your raises and tricked the parents into thinking their increase was for you. It wasn't. I agree, Quit. Tell the corrupt management what you think of their deception and walk out.
This is why unions are formed. You could also organize a strike city wide. You'd shut down the entire city.
If they are so darn cheap, you should quit.
