NYS license plate debate
Full story: WHEC-TV Rochester, NY
Is it a safety issue or a way to get more money out of your pocket? New York State is requiring you to buy new license plates for your car.

If it's all about "safety", then why did we change from yellow and blue to white and blue? What we need to do is to remember who voted to allow this and get rid of them next election!

I love NY but I hate the politicians that run our beautiful state. Since we aren't getting rid of them anytime soon, all of the working people should move out of the state and see what the welfare people do then!!

I lived here For a long time and to see so many changes in the city of Rochester i consider this a another way of new york taking peoples money.I work hard to keep at least a Roof under my head and to see new york with this change is just another disappointment to the Rochester people.i believe that if this continues many Rochester people will move on to live somewhere else.

What we need is a Public Referendum like Arizona has. This way, when the local or state government tries to pass a law, tax, fee or rule that is not liked by the public, we can put it on a ballot and either vote it out or approve it. This would truly put control of the state back in the hands of the people (taxpaying voters)!! All of you news organizations should support this idea!

Since we still elect the Same People giving us the Same Bul$#*% every year how can we complain! remember only 30% of the eligible voters turned out last week. So know your roll people and pay your taxes and fees. I for one am taking my fat state pension and heading South. ha ha

I am glad that we are moving to another state that don't have the same outrageous and crazy Govenour as we New Yorkers Sorry (UPSTATE NEW YORKERS DO) Who does he think he is,(OH I KNOW A NUT CASE) Can't wait till he's out of there.....

This is crap! Another reason why so many of my college educated friends get the hell out of New York. Next thing you know they'll be taxing mail delivery. If it weren't for my family, I would definitely not be in New York, the "bend over" state

It is WAY OUT of control. I've been driving for over 50 years. I wonder where all the revenue that was Suposed to be put aside for Roads Etc. Has Vanished to Even the throughway was suposed to be Free to travel after the Bonds Etc. for it's construction were paid for. LOTTSA luck in that ever Happining. OUR?? Elected so called Officials are a SAD Group. I wish they were in the Regular Populace & Have to pay. |

NYS must be absolutly stupid. We just got a new plate design not that long ago and now they are changing it. I think we should have a choice on what plate design we should have for our cars.
