You really need to make sure that your own affairs are in order before you try fixing the county problems, have you paid taxes on all the income you have made under the table? What about illegal dumping by your peons? I'm sure the EPA and IRS and Insurance Commissioner would like to know about all of this corruption, you can't take care of your own affairs legally why would we trust a bunch of assholes like you? I think that you folks bitching about taxes need to realize the county didn't raise taxes the governor took away the homestead exemption. When was the last time the county raised taxes? They are trying to balance a budget on taxes that were probably set in the 80's. People the price of everything has gone up, taxes have to go up to balance the budget. As far as the sheriff dept and ambulance service go when the commissioner gets his way and gets rid of all of the ones who are worth a shit and actually care about this county, you will get what you pay for, which is nothing. These people are tied up 24 hours a day seven days a week 365 days a year. When we are home with our families on holidays where are they? Working. Does anyone think about everything these people have sacrificed to help us? When we call, they come, rain or shine anytime of day any holiday, I will pay my taxes and would pay more to keep the people we have there now, that i know, we as a county can count on. And the ambulance service does bring in revenue, and then you bitch about county not writing tickets, well half of you would complain to Betty Jean if you got a ticket and would try to get out of paying it. So we can't have it all and not pay for it. If you want some idiot to take you to the hospital that doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground or if you want a deputy who has no idea where you live to come help you in an emergency, then by all means support the idiot commissioner.

In response to the article about the county Commiddioner, I agree with you 100%. The people in this County who don't know the whole story should keep there damned mouths shut. They should not listen to the lies being told about the
ambulance service or its workers. The EPA would have a field day here in this County. All I can say is these people (they know who they are) had better watgh their backs. You never know who maybe watching....

I know Mr. Brown very well. He worked at the base for 5 years, injured his back then left on disability! Soon after he replaced the shingles on my house and I had to pay him cash! He has no buisness telling me anything about a budget....he along w his wife have 3 or 4 incomes. He should be ashamed of what he has done. People like him is why America is in the shape it is in.....cheating the system! We need to see how the Wilcox County Bd of Education was paying him!

one more thing.... He has rental property...no wonder he is crying about taxes. The gov't paid for the trailers i feel like at least we tax payers are getting a little back from the gov't by him paying taxes or does the disabled have to pay taxes? Can someone find out?
