Copied and Pasted from a forum in KY. My husband was one of the assistance that lost his job title along with his 10 hours of overtime. I cant believe that a company would do this to a man that has dedicated many years of his life and hard work. They even had enough nerve to offer him severance pay (just incase he decided to quit)!!!!! What a kick in the ass that was!!!!! Talk within the company is, they are weeding out the female employees and the older employees so they can bring in the younger people so they can start there pay rate at a very little hourly wage. How low-lifed is that????? My family is going to struggle with out my husbands extra income. I have a minimum wage job and we depended on his overtime to make our payments but do you think Advance Auto Parts gives a damn about their people. My husband has thought about pursuing a job with Oreilly's. How many people have heard of Oreilly's throwing there employees to the lions. I guess the new sales pitch is true. The commercial where the company ties steaks to an employees ass and makes him run from lions proves to be true. My husband is being fed to the lions. Take my advice and the advice of my husband, dont waste a day working at Advance Auto Parts

I am another just like , there wasn't anything I would not do for the team and wham!!! accept severance package or demotion with less than fastfood wages, I HAVE FAMILY TO FEED !!! What a Joke

I am from Va and my husband also works at advance. He has been there many years. They took his overtime as well. They are trying to push the older ones out. My husband has more job offers. He may just take one and let Advance sink. Thats how it works i suppose. You dedicate half your life to the company, then get kicked out on your keister. They are not thinking about the fact that most of these younguns don't know their head from a hole in the ground.

they promise u a pay raise but dont give it to you unless you are one of the managers favorites.and some people in the store can get away with murder so to speak like hanky panky with females and what not in the store and do what ever they please. the youg guns are all to wet behind the ears they act like spoiled brats and shouldnt be in a parts store let alone run one if they are a position to be a manager. they put to much on the workers for less pay
