This is really getting redicules. If they kill those turtles because of salmonella then watch out they are going to go after your equanas, fish, cats, dogs, hamsters and every other pet you may have. They are all capable of carrying salmonella. Killing the turtles is not the answere education is the answer. Teach people how to handle the turtles and care for them and you will not have a problem. While we are at it lets get rid of all the carriers of salmonella including food. Remember if we do not clean the utensils used to cut the food such as chicken and used them on other foods such as fruits and then eat the fruits we can get sick with salmonella. There is a story that a 3 week old baby died after the moma bath the baby in the same sink she had cleaned the turtle bowl. If someone would bath a baby in the same sink they cleaned chicken meat in without sanitizing it the baby would get sick. Should we banned chicken meat because of an incident like that? There are plenty of stories of families owning pet turtles for years and they never got sick. Wake up America.

Turtles carry salmonella, just like armadillos carry the leprosy virus. A pregnant human female should not be around a cat's litter box. Read the c. diff virus found in 40% of prepared meats in the supermarkets in Tuscon, Arizona. What about the air we breath on the souteast side of Houston, where cancer rates are astronomical? Killing 1,100 red-earred slider turtles certainly was not the answer.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Pisces

Someone is in a very boisterous mood today, and you may want to make yourself scarce after a short spell in their company. Their idea of a joke may be your idea of extreme rudeness, or they could take pleasure in being argumentative just for the sake of it. Don't let this person wind you up or you'll go off pop through sheer tension.
