Please, So some folks, who also live in the foothills want to deny others to build a legitimate project in the foothills because their "view" might be affected? How about how the complainers houses interfered with the views of the homes below them? Perhaps those complaining should dismantle their homes so their neighbors can have a better view too.

This is just illogical nimbyism being led by Mayor Morris rep Peggy Hazelett.

"Hello" , If you're familiar with this area, you would know that all existing housing was built upon "terraced" or "stepped" grading. This creates a gradual incline foundation for each and every house, so no one is blocked by the home below them.

But when you erect a block-long 22-ft-high wall, you essentialy slice the neighborhood in half. The multitudes that moved in this area didn't move here to have neighborhoods divided in this manner.

Does that make any sense to you? Or do you just bow-down when someone attempts to make such a drastic impact to your neighborhood ? If you read the letter, you would see that its not the housing project itself that is an issue, its the grading, which creates the Great Wall of San Bernardino.

Actually, as the wall is hundreds of feet away from their backyards, your great wall comment is idiotic. It's not in anyones backyard and a 22 foot terraced wall with flora doesn't look that much different than all the "terraced houses" down below. Nice try though.

By the way, the only way to build the project is with the wall. That is why it is required by city staff. This is just plain old nimbyism. And Hazlett better be careful orchestrating this from the Mayors office. Can anyone say conflict of interest? How about lawsuit the city can't win?

You really think that the city is going to maintain the landscaping? Yeah, right! Look at the exit off the 215 frwy at University. All that stone-work surrounded by weeds. Won't get watered, will die then will be a fire hazard. Come on people this is San Bernardino, not Alta Loma.

Oh, and don't forget the graffiti.

Your opinion is absolutely correct. Very ignorant homeowners have decided they know better then engineers, so they spend a considerable quantity of time looking for anything negative, they find nothing that matters. This project will continue !! Only about four homeowners are against this and want nothing to change. Hey complainers !! Move out if you don’t like it, that land has been listed as residential for decades. Again your ignorance is showing.

Rick and Hello,.... you're obviuously tied in with the developer in this project. Just because you guys made a stupid investment in the land a couple years ago and will lose MILLIONS on this project, don't take it out on the people that already live in the area.

Yes, you know exactly what I'm talking about,... the investor / developer most likely invested in the land when values had sky-rocketed, took some time to get all your plans approved, permits going, and now you are hoiping to at least break even, or hoping home values will rise again in time to ofrf-load your product. However, you are the tools that will be disapointed when you realize your project will have a minimal, if any, profit margin. That is what's pissing you off. Do you think you scare any of the homeowners up this way? really ? Not at all,... now go pull the weeds on YOUR bad INVESTMENT.

... As a matter of fact Rick and Hello (punk tools), I think I saw several Desert Sands Flys and Desert Tortises in that area. Should I collect them for you?
