Arlington student killed by Metrolink train

What about placing a crossing guard at railroad tracks when the tracks are so close to a school that several students must cross them everyday. I passed this tragic accident this morning. This could have been prevented if an adult was at the tracks helping students cross.

What a sad tragedy...If only parents would raise their children to follow the rules...

To the last comment; Rather than "hire" 1000 people to monitor our crossings, start educating young and instill the value of doing the right things and following laws. Hold parents accountable for poor-parenting (?)

I find this so very wrong. This accidnet had nothing to do with this child being brought up poorly. This was a accident made by a child who made a judgement that cost him his life. How can you say that a parent is to blame? Children make poor decisions every day and it is part of growing up in life and learning from things that happen to us and others in this world. Do you have kids? So if your child does not turn in there school work or walks into a store and falls over and has a accident we should hold you responsible? Think buddy! Think very hard! I find you to be a very poor thinker and need to get a life and a clue on life!

Perhaps the City of Riverside should think about putting a 'cat walk' at that rail crossing. It would be cheaper than a grade separation and possibly keep both adults and children away from the tracks.
