Ummmmm...so strange that Glynn would offer return a puppy to the yard of a neighbor he had 10 YEARS of bad blood with. Especially when another neighbor was already in the process of getting the job done. Glynn Johnson has a history of animal annoyance. This was an intentional act that deserves a felony animal abuse charge. There are millions waiting for the DA's decision...including the very powerful organization PETA.

Lots of concern over this particular incident, but wild dogs like coyotes get shot purely for kicks all the time. Videos are posted online of coyotes exploding from bullet-induced hydrostatic shock, with idiots laughing in the background.

Are domestic animals vastly more important than their wild ancestors because anthropocentric value is attached to them? Think about the double-standard.

I am pleased to see this clown was arrested. I hope they lock him up and throw away the key. As for the last post, are you kidding me? Did you kill small animals as a child? Maybe you can go support Glynn in court, you loser.

Wow...Is this what this country has come down to? I own several dogs. Tf it came down to any one of them turning on me or attacking me, I wouldn't hesitate putting it down. This guy seems to have something personal going on with his neighbors, and then... wanted to take their dog home to them? Too bad it ended with him being attacked and taking his anger out on the dog.
This case may well wind up in court.
I am surprised that having several dogs you don't know that dogs don't turn on people without provocation. Regardless, this man had no business talking the dog from the person who had control of him in the first place, and NOTHING justifies the vicious attack he inflicted on the dog, which one is the animal here? The one that acts on instinct or the one who who is supposed to be rational? I think the man should be turned over to a pack of wild Dingos, that would be an eye for an eye.

If we truly want justice they need to just turn this man over to a pack of wild Dingos and let nature take care of justice.

Have we heard Mr. Johnson's version of this story? I thought, in this country, that a man was innocent until proven guilty. So many people seem to be condemning this man based on hear-say from the neighbor without hearing Mr. Johnson's side of the story. This a highly decorated fireman who is dedicated to saving lives, property, and animals. Why would such a man commit such a vicious act. So, please, before everyone jumps on the "persecute the fireman", bandwagon, give him the respect he is due and the benefit of the doubt until the facts are in.
I work for the justice system and believe me they do not press charges against a person unless they DA has enough evidence to make a case against the accused. Have you seen the photos of the animal? Is there any logical explanation that can justify that? Or do you think the puppy ran repeatedly against a wall on her own?

I really don't think that innocent before proven guilty relates to this case. Who cares what glynn johnson has to say. You cannot beat a 6 month old puppy to death with a 12 pound rock and call it sell defense. It's like pounding a 3 year old child to death because he/she bit your finger. I work with animals everyday and puppys have razor sharp teeth. They have no idea that they're teeth are that sharp. They want to play, sometimes they are teething and want to gnaw on something. They don't intentionally do it. Glynn Johnson should receive the maximum punishment for his crime. Too bad it isn't long enough. anyone who would even consider hurting a creature especially a baby creature is not right in they're head. Too often people who hurt animals are getting away with they're crimes. Make an example of the great Fire Chief. If he gets a away with this here on earth, GOD will never forget. Rest In Love baby Karley.

What in heavens name are you on? Who's even talking about coyotes or for that matter any wild creature and the abuse they receive by the hand of us so called humans; we are talking about a civil servant
who is paid to protect the citizen of his community and their pets, and propery. A big over 200 pound man who takes it on his self to kill a young puppy , belonging to his neigbor.
So where is the double standered? are we on the same page yet stupid?

HOW exactly does being a firefighter nullify Johnson's actions?!? LOL if this form of 'logic' were allowed in court I can just imagine the defense strategies used by highly decorated professionals:

"Your honor the defense asks that you dismiss this case due to the fact that the defendant is a highly decorated __________

And while Johnson is innocent until proven guilty things look exceedingly bad for the Puppy Killer.

Soon enough - may he rot in jail for the max!
