Fortunately, there were no extremely serious injuries in this horrific crash ! This could have been fatal ! The driver reportedly tried to avoid a collision with another vehicle. Once, a police officer told me that in many instances it is better to not try to avoid the collision out of the possibility of a greater crash ! That being said, does anybody know anything about the bus company's record--both accident and financial condition ?? Inquiring minds want to know !! Any criminal records of their personnel ?? What about the owners of the company ??

And lets NOT forget about the IDIOTS that love to weave in and out around large trucks and buses! Sort of like the dump truck that hit the school bus not to long ago.

Yes, a lot of daredevils who are in a hurry constantly weave in and out of traffic without regard for anyone but themselves ! Are there any corrabroating accounts of a "weaver" cutting the bus off ?? Description ?? Or is the question of a "weaver" just a cover up ? Questions need answers ! If this had been a major company, the media would be all over the safety records of both the driver and the company as well as the maintenance records of the bus involved ! Remember the HOV exit crash in Atlanta--the media was all over the company's records as well as the driver's !! Anybody know anything about Superior Coaches ???

This is no laughing matter !! People could have died in that crash--but Thank GOD, all survived !! If you had a child on that bus, you wouldn't be making jokes--you would be asking lots of questions and seeking a lawyer !!

The driver has been quoted as saying a car cut in front of him, sooner or later the report will come out.

On the WSB TV news tonight at 6 PM, the report stated that the bus comoany's insurance was cancelled back in March ! It further stated that the company didn't have the proper permits to operate in Georgia for cattying passengers. Also stated that the school initially hired a company from Alabama, but this company showed up ! It would be interesting to see the maintenance records of the bus to check for proper maintence. Interesting to note that no description of any suspect car has been given. My father was a professional trucker and told us that if he were ever in a serious crash to have the lawyers get the service records of the truck ! Fortunately, he had a near perfect safety record--being hit head-on by a wrong way driver on the I-75 ramp in Knoxville didn't count against his safety record. All professional drivers must have a Commercial class drivers license, so I would ask if this driver was properly licensed in light of the company not being properly liscensed !!

Well, if this is the case, then the school should be blamed for hiring a company with incompetent drivers, and, no proof of insurance, or maintenance records.

On the news, Morehouse had issued a statement that said that they contracted with a bus company in Alabama and do not know how Superior got involved ! So far, no drscriptions of any suspect car that may have been involved has been issued ! I want to know if the driver was tested for alchohol/drugs at the scene of the crash ?? Was his licanse properly endorsed for commercial operations ?? If a private passenger car driver was in an accident and no proff of insurance, that driver would most likely go to jail--so what's up here ?? Preferential treatment ?? How did they get their tags renewed if the insurance had been cancelled ? There is definitely a lot more to learn about this crash and the company !! One news story showed the director of another school that stated that Superior had used Morehouse for a referencem but couldn't provide proper documention, so the school went with another carrier. So, what did Morehouse officials really know about Superior ?? Are the police having the mechanical condition of the bus reviewed ?? What is the driver's safety record ?? Why were they operating even though a cease/desist order had been issued by the GA PSC ?? Looks like somebody dropped the ball at the PSC !

WALB news also carried some stories. I am glad no one was seriously hurt because this could have been a horrible tragedy.

Just saw on Channel 46 (CBS) news that Superior filed for bankruptcy today ! How convenient !!

The Wednesday evening newscast of WSB news showed an interview with the owner of Superior. He gave the reporter a copy of an insurance "document" and later recanted his story and admitted that his bus was not insured ! Then an interview with the Alabama bus company revealed that Superior wasn't a subcontractor of theirs and that Morehouse hired Superior direct !! Also, A warrant for a bad check was issued by the contractor who put the signs on the buses ! I'm sure that more warrants are sure to come in this case !! Still, no description of a vehicle that could have been involved has been issued. Who paid for the students medical bills ?? Morehouse????

The 6pm edition of the WSB news showed that one of the owners of superio--Mr. McClarty--was arrested for the bad check he wrote to his sign contractor and was trying to make bail. How many more bad checks did he write for his company?? He was running his busses, but keeping the cash ??He finally admitted that his bus wasn't insured !! Maybe he should be kept in jail !!

Oh I am sure he will serve jail time. MAYbe 1 whole year "to teach him a lesson". Then he get out, cross over to Mississippi and have another company started inside 6 months.

I saw another person at the South Fulton Annex who filed another bad check warrant against Superior's owner. I wonder how long it will take for "them" to rearrest him ???
