Knock Knock. Anyone home? Oh never mind. We all know no one is home in that stuffing filled head of yours.

I'm not looking for someone to blame for everything that happens around me. Get real. All illegals that came over the border without the proper paperwork are criminals. That is a fact. Our Federal Statutes say it's so. That is a misdemeanor crime. Period. What else would you like to call them? If I go to a store and steal something that amounts to a misdemeanor, that makes me a criminal. You can put lipstick on a pig but, when all is said and done, it's still a pig.

people break the law everyday if you look at some of the stupid laws that are written and passed youve gotta wonder how some of these people were elected example A.Obama, and by stupid I mean laws such as these : http://www.dumblaws.com/laws/united-states/ge...
and many others in countless states, and as I stated earlier, so dont pick and choose what laws conform to whats important to you, if you feel so strongly enforce all laws not just what tickles your pickle.
So what if people break the law every day? Who gives a big rat's arse? We do not deny that we have homegrown law breakers. That in no way means we must import more from other countries, much less illegally. You must be doing some damn good drugs to have such a screwed up view on things. Gee, if you neighbor decides to kill himself, will you do the same? If your neighbor decides to go steal a car, will you also do it? I mean, after all, your neighbor did it, so why shouldn't you? That's one of the most stupid responses I've read yet. "Well, so and so did it..." Ugh!

Those are listed as "Stupid Laws" -- they are not listed as "unenforced law", nor do we know if they are enforced or not. If it's a law that, unenforced, does not hurt anyone or cost anyone tons of money, then the state should look to change it -- especially if it's outdated.

Our immigration laws are NOT stupid state laws. They are Federal Laws, and they are in place to protect this country and its citizens. They are there to keep us a sovereign nation and to prevent the taxpayers of *this* country having to support foreign nationals who do not belong here and who do not (and will never) contribute more than they take.

There is a big difference betweena stupid state law that says everyone must own a rake, and a law that protects us from foreign invaders.

To compare the two just shows all of us how truly dumb and delusional you are. At this point, I'm convinced your head is not just filled with stuffing, but filled with MOLDY stuffing.

Ken, you appear to only be concerned with the amount they may be paying commercially into the economy without evaluating costs which they are not compensating for education, health, police, fire, etc. etc.
Most of these prior to economic difficulties here were sending most of their money out of country. They plan to return home and do not assimilate here for that reason. They are not true immigrants in any sense of the word.
If we need them, which I do not believe, then we need to increase the number of legal immigrants which come into our country. They are coming and breaking our laws to get here. Going to the back of the line is not enough. They need to be removed from que.
Maria
We can agree to disagree. There is a 125 year wait to come from Mexico to here legally. There is no wait to come from the Arab nations. They come here for a better life. We passed laws to make all of them illegal .I know some that were already assimilated. Now they are outlaws because of politics. They were homeowners, business owners, had real drivers license. You can't paint them all with a broad brush. Most if not for these laws would be a good part of our community. Not all but most.

There is probably a reason that it was felt that fewer immigrant needed to come from that area of the world. Not, perhaps because of their nationality per sae, but because of what they were bringing or not bringing to the table.

Walking over our border without the proper paperwork is a CRIME.

Working without authorization? Crime.

Using a social security number that is not yours -- crime (FELONY crime). And, if you know it actually belongs to someone else and use it anyway, it's an aggravated felony.

That 13% of the economy in no way takes into consideration what they take OUT of the economy.

Low/no educated people (and the majority of the illegals are low/no educated ones from Mexico) will NEVER contribute more than they take. In fact, while it's costly to have them here illegally, it would be even more costly to legalize them.

Get your head out of your arse. We do not have a need for illegal aliens. We have enough homegrown law breakers. We have no need to import more from other countries, much less illegally!

The ones who qualified to stay were made legal in 1986, which is the same time we changed the majority of the laws. We didn't have them here legally and then passed laws to make them illegal. That's absurd to even suggest, not to mention a downright lie.

No, most would not be a good part of our community. MOST are low/no educated from Mexico that will ALWAYS take more than they will ever contribute. They are unable to contribute more.

According to Nobel laureate economist Paul Krugman, "low-skilled immigrants do not earn enough money to cover the cost of government benefits they receive." In essence, businesses are making-out like bandits while U.S. taxpayers--whom they won't hire--pay for the government entitlements drawn by immigrants--legal and illegal.

Moreover, more than 25% of illegal immigrants lack the equivalent of a high school education, compared to 9% of American citizens. The Heritage Foundation found that low-skilled immigrants use far more dollars worth of goverment services than they pay in taxes. Further, the Foundation determined that the average low-skilled immigrant household costs the American taxpayer $19,588 per year.

It would be MORE costly to legalize them.

Why? You might ask...well, let me tell you...

If we legalize illegals and they began to pay taxes and use services like legal immigrants with the same level of education, the cost would go through the roof. An unskilled illegal immigrant is costly but an unskilled legal immigrant is a fiscal disaster because, although presumably he is being paid on the books and he pays his taxes like he’s supposed to, he is now eligible for everything (government benefits), or a lot of things, but he still doesn't make any money.

That’s the problem. The reason immigrants create a fiscal cost is not because they are illegal. They create a fiscal cost because they have very little education and people with very little education don’t pay much in taxes, because they don’t make very much. But they tend to use a lot in services. If we legalize them, it makes the problem much worse.

Think about this: every unskilled worker who’s paid on the books mostly gets our Earned Income Tax Credit. That means that every unskilled worker comes with a bill. That’s one of the reasons the costs explode so much if you legalize illegal immigrants. Right now, let's estimate that illegals are getting one-tenth of what they would be entitled to (if they were legal) but if they began to get the EIT fee like legal immigrants, with the same level of education, well, the costs would go up 10 fold. That’s a welfare program that’s very expensive.

Please post your proof of 125 year wait to come here, legally, from Mexico. On top of that, even if it is true, perhaps THEY BROUGHT IT ON THEMSELVES! What is happening now is unfair to all other countries. They have way too many people here as it is, making the balance totally unbalanced.

No matter what, we just plain don't reward law breaking. If I work hard to break into your house and scrub your toilet, will I be allowed to stay and you'll support me? I think not. These people knew there was a legal way to come and they ignored it. That is not OUR problem, nor should we be forced to pay for it. They need to go home.

Its pure politics. I will say that I'm not for giving them anything free. I just believe if we let everyone else come to America then they should be welcome as well. I'm not wanting to allow them to cross the border and have a bunch of kids on welfare. But there should be a way for them to come legally just like everyone else. I have a friend with the DEA. The day they passed the law making pretty much all of them illegal I said we are forcing them to become drug dealers. And thats what happened. Some have been here their whole lives. There kids don't know anyplace but the US.Where do they go ? Be honest. Where would you go? Love your pic by the way.

After eight long months of waiting for my husband to get his VISA interview he finally go his interview, and we spent two agonizing weeks of begging and pleading to the consulate and approx $10,000 dollars to get him his permanent resident card "

Above is an excerpt about one lady's story. Link below. All I see is hate here ,no logic at all ,no see yourself in their position. We are no better than them. We were "lucky" and born here. I'm not saying to give them anything. The system is broken. It needs to be fixed.I know none of you will change your minds but at least think about things with an open mind. Not with hate.

Mexico has one of the strictest immigration laws in the western hemisphere, maybe THE strictest. They are fine allowing a few million of their citizens to illegally cross the border into the USA because it generates income to Mexico that is close to 40% of their nation's Gross National Product. The money that is sent back home is that much, meaning that is a a deduction from the GNP of the United States. If you understand economics then you understand this along with the massive cost within the USA created by the illegals is a major contributor to the current recession and slow economic recovery we are suffering.

We do not need this huge influx of people. It does not help us economically and in fact is a major detriment to the financial well being of every American citizen.

We need much stricter immigration laws with a much higher education requirement for anyone entering our nation. These laws need to be strictly enforced and offenders dealt with harshly to ensure that they are taken seriously.

Illegal immigration should not be tolerated. All illegal immigrants should be fined heavily then deported and permanently banned from the US having forfeited any chance to ever become a US citizen.

The system is not broken, the laws are in place and need to be enforced. Has it occurred to you that is is not American citizens or the laws of this country that have put these people in this position? It is the people who chose to break our laws by coming here illegally who put themselves and their children in this position.

I understand where your coming from. My point is WHY are they breaking the law ? I had an employee that was from Mexico when the laws changed in 2005. 3 Kids born here but not him. He made $25.00 an hour ,paid taxes, and never had a ticket. When his license expired he couldn't renew it.So he drove without one to support his family. He couldn't renew his visa cause the laws changed. He's been here most of his life (17 yrs),owned a home, car. What should he do ? No legal remedy.Just go back to Mexico.Sorry ,thats wrong. And if your mind was open enough you'd agree.

He did follow the law. Then the law changed. I hired an attorney and tried to get it fixed. He had to stop paying taxes and go off the grid. This is his home and the only one his family knows. If you can't at least look at why the problem exists then there's no point in talking about it. If you were him and he did follow the rules. You would be doing the same thing. Your just to proud to admit it.

__________

Illegal immigrants should be rounded up and deported. Sent back to were they came from.

People who send money to Mexico should show proof of legal status here in the USA (workers visa and or US citizenship documentations). Money transactions between Mexico and the USA should be heavily taxed!!!!

I don't mind the Mexicans coming to the USA but:

1. Get your US Citizenship

2. Learn to speak English

3. Don't push your language or culture on me or others!!!
__________

My wife works at a restaurant. And She is Vietnamese. She had to learn English(still studying it too) and get her citizenship(Which she did)!!

They have Mexicans who work there now, and they expect everyone there to learn their language. The restaurant even hired a man who speaks both English and Spanish. So he can tell the Mexicans what to do!!!

The employees are given videos to watch and test to take at work. The videos and test come in Spanish & English.

My wife can't get them in vietnamese: She has to take them in English.

It is unfair to her(or any other nationality) to have to struggle with some of the English she(or they, people of other nationalities) don't understand, while the Mexican workers get it in their own language!!

They should be made to learn English too!!!

Did this man not know that this visa was not a lifetime permit to stay in the USA? Did he think it gave him citizenship? Just because he came originally on a visa, does not mean PERMENANT residency, it is a pass to be here for a certain length of time. Do you think any other country would allow you to overstay your visa and give you citizenship as a reward?
If you go to visit relatives in another state, do you think they should allow you to stay years past the time the invitation was extended for just because you like it better at their house?

My grandparents on both sides were LEGAL immigrants who had to pay for and take English language classes prior to becoming citizens. This forced action was also good for them. You only appreciate what you have to work for and they felt incredibly blessed to be here. They, in fact, left most of their own culture at the borders and never looked back.

Language is an important bond within a country. There is a reason that conquerers of new land would not allow the former language to be spoken and that in times of war communication is jammed early on. We are making an tremendous error in allowing a dual language system.
