There's just no excuse for this. Sounds like a neighbor or at least someone who drives by this place must have tipped off Animal Services. I'm glad. Whether the owner ran out of money to buy food or what, I don't know, but if that's the case, sell the cattle! They're no good to you dead!

If you don't know what was really happening then maybe it is better you keep your clueless comments to yourself. First of all in the country neighbors do watch out for one another and their livestock. Second this owner has the means to provide food and water for the livestock and opted not to do so for whatever reason. It wasn't this person's first offense they haven't taken care of their livestock or horses for quite a few years. How would you feel being penned up without food and water? This person had the means to move the livestock to other pastures that the cattle and horses could graze on. So whatever the owner gets they deserve

I don't know what you read, but maybe you need to REREAD my comment. I am in NO WAY defending the owner--I'm outraged that he or she literally CHOSE to not care for animals that depend on them.

Where in the heck did you misunderstand me?

"lovesanimals"...Som ehow, I just knew you wouldn't come retract your outburst. I'm sure you've re-read by now, and realized you blasted me for nothing, but you don't have the "oops, I'm sorry" gene. Too bad, because we were on the same side.
