It is only a matter of time until Music and his non authoritative, friend of the downtrodden, no back bone approach will get someone hurt or killed. There have been way too many instances of students bringing weapons to school, leaving the school grounds and breaking other rules and Mr. Music does nothing. Rules and laws without consequences for breaking them are like Mr. Music, USELESS.

this wouldnt have all gone down if stupid kids would follow the rules. a principal shouldnt have to do his job if everyone would follow the rules in the handbook. ive never stepped foot in the office due to disciplinary reasons...its not hard to follow rules

You have that half right. lol

Stupid, smart and everyone in between should follow the rules set in place. They are there for a reason.
A principal should always have to do his job, that is what he gets paid for. And part of that job is disciplining those who break or abuse the rules. If he can't do his job, why should his contract with the school board be held over the heads of everyone? Contracts work both ways, they tell what is expected of the individual and what that individual can expect to receive when he fulfills those duties, not in lieu of.

Mr. Music is the worst excuse for a principal. Schools need discipline and structure. That school is a zoo because it has none. He spends his time enabling students and making excuses for their misbehaviors. Students have no consequences for their actions, and therefore you have a school that is out of control.

The situation wouldn't have gotten this far if he had any leadership ability at all.

absolutely right. i CAN NOT BELIEVE HE GETS TO STAY!!! and who in the hell approved that ridiculous article in the Bee?! at the beginning it said students faculty and staff showed up to support him. WRONG!!! the only people quoted in that piece of garbage was a bunch of bad kids that are constantly in trouble! is that what they call journalism? of course the bad kids want him to stay. i'm glad to finally hear some voices on here with some sense. this man isn't even in charge of disipline anymore. Stanfield is. if he's not doing that what the hell is he good for? those kids are running amok, and if they don't get things under control soon i have a feeling the facutly will put up with it for only so long.....

Whats up with Mr.Music? They allowed him to stay at the hight school but he doesn't take care of any discipline issues. They leave that to Stanfield. Why doesn't a principal have the authority to deal with discipline. That's crap. They hired him to do a job, let him do it. I wouldn't like being undermined by a TEACHER! He has his own way of dealing with things. Give him a chance. That school was falling apart long before he got there, so you can't blame it on him. Oborn took the whole district down before he got the hell out of Dodge. The only thing Oborn ever did right was bringing Brad Moffett here. Too bad he realized the fall was coming and left before fit in the shan! You got that school in Aberdeen that is a complete waste of space. Now we have that bill for the rest of our lives to pay for. Also, whats up with the teachers always going to meetings, conferences. They need to stay in the classroom and teach so we don't have to pay for subs! School board needs cleaned OUT! Those old stale people that haven't moved in 30 years needs to realize they need to LEAVE and get a freakin life and let people do the job that actually has kids in that school, not grandkids or great grandkids! Bob Carpenter handed me my diploma 28 years ago! I hope somebody runs for school board that isn't full of themself, old as hell, too busy to take your calls, isn't a sloppy drunk or too stuck up to speak to you other than election time! That school will not get any better until you start cutting at the TOP!
