Dom available for a presentation of a variety of designs for consideration. Infants need to be in other shallow pools for many reason. Perhaps, two or three.. for easy cleaning if child soils the pool. If interested in a brief presentation for small or large groups just e-mail him at domnizza@netzero.com or phone. Knowledge of the trends in recreation is what is important.

I grew up in Ridgewood. I spent my first 23 years there. Many happy days at Graydon Pool, enjoying the sun and cool waters on HOT summer days.

From what I get from this website is that there is discussion of closing Graydon Pool. If that is going to happen I feel sorry for the people who use it and the town of Ridgewood

Hi Bill... thanks, for joining this conversation.. the photo that I posted was just an example design, not the final recommendation of the various groups and Village Council to ask a "Request for a Proposal" based on years of study.

The proposal will incorperate all the information to secure a design that will enhance the facility and maintain historic memories.

The Aquatic Complex as it now stands... has lost membership from 8,000 to less than 1,500. It is not financially self sustaining. The reality is that it does not meet the health, safety and interests of today's knowledgeable citizens.

If a redesign can't be found to satisfy the needed 5,000 membership compromise.... then it should be shut down. The NJ State Dep has already made that recommendation that a "Bonifide Pool be constructed". It cannot be supported in its present state. I agree and so do many thousands.
....
