Distracted Walkers: New Jersey City Cracks Down on Texting and Walking

We've all seen distracted walkers using their phones instead of paying attention to the road. Now residents in one New Jersey town can be fined if they text and walk at the same time. Police in Fort Lee have started patrolling streets and intersections hunting for pedestrians on their mobile devices and issuing $85 fines.

Actually I was making more of a joke than statement about the issue.Gov ernment does require the public to not drink and drive or not to speed well beyond the speed limit when driving their cars-just to mention examples of government control in our lives.
