My father was this 74 year old man

My father, Roberto Prieto, 74 year old, Cuban born, migrated to the USA in 1965. Lived in West New York for 40 years. His children attended schools in Hudson County. My father was innocently and violently killed in his own home. I will always love you Papi...You are missed dearly!

Roberto Prieto 410 54th Street West New York New Jersey was brutally and savagelly killed in his own home on November 8th 2006 by a demonic monster that goes by the name of Jose Luis Suarez. He has been on out of jail on bail since December 1st 2006 freely walking around Hudson County.

Sorry about your dad, I live in the area and went to High School with Jose Suarez. Not to close with him but knew who he was, didn't really fit his character from the little I knew of him. My condolensces and prayers go out to your family. Feel better because feeling bitter doesn't lead to much again my condolensces.

I'm not bitter just very sad for the way your ex-school mate killed my father. I also feel very sorry for any other (especially elderly), person that this person comes in contact with. I hope it's not your father,(or anyone elses' for that matter), because I can assure you that you would not be kind of defending him my making the statement: "didn't really fit his character".

my cousin is a very fine man. it is a tragedy as to what happened. but there are two sides to every story and i believe what my cousin says. my deepest sympathy for your family. my cousin has never been in trouble with the law. he is a man that is dedicated to his family 1000%. for the record he isn't a "demonic monster" like you claim. Jose is a loving, caring guy. his whole family is backing him up in this matter.

I'm very sorry about your loss. This is not a cool situation at all.. And there is 2 sides to every story, but that still does not mean you can kill another man!!!! Especially an elder cmon now he has parents also.. Theres just some things you just dont do. And having kids and being a family man also. You really shouldnt be doing stupid Ish like that..Of course family is gonna back up family .. thats what there for.. It still does not justify a mans DEATH!!! God don't like ugly and believe me all our sins are payed for by us or the ones we LV.....

I am the sister of Jose L. Suarez and might say I despise the way your judging my brother. It's funny how you metioned my brothers character but what about your father?? Im truely sorry you lost your father but to blame my brother in the way you describe him is uncall for. Niether you and I were there so who are we to say what happen. Yes you did lose your father and I feel for you on that, but to call my brother a monster is just disgusting on your behalf. My brother is a good man of 3 children and a wife. My brother called 911 bet you didn't know that. If he was such a monster he would of left him there. My brother turned himself into the police & told the truth with NO lawyer present. If he was guilty he would of ran. So before you write FALSE things about my brother. Do some research before you put ISH on the internet about MY BROTHER.
By the way did the police tell you about all the money they found. If my brother was a monster he would of stole all that money. So the next time you wright about my brother have your facts straight. My brother is going to jail for this accident.

I know if my father went through what Mr. Prieto's family says he went through I would be at every court date making sure the person got the death penalty. So Mr. Prieto's family gets NO sympathy from me. I know it was an accident.

The family of the victim, you have to understand we're furious about what your saying about our brother. My older sister is the comment above and let me say she is an educated woman thats angry. She was very very upset when she read what you said and you can see she typed fast and angry. I also want to add what she said is very true and accurate. Joey we're your little sister's and we love you till the end and you know we always got your back. An excerpt from my fathers funeral where the hall was filled to capacity, standing room only and where lines were form around the block with countless people that consisted of his family, friends, his peers, neighbors and a whole community of mourners in an outcry for the very sad loss of a very loving, decent, hard working, law abiding, generous, family man, who was very affectionally known as "El Santo de los Pobres" (The Saint for the Poor).

On November 19, 2006 a Memorium was made to our father on a beautiful lake with the Cuban and American Flag flying high and waving in the wind. Where Bagpipes played and filled the air with their final goodbye songs in the background. Where candle lights flickered that everyone held and where a spanish tv station televisied the momenteous occasion. The following was spoken then and there by his children: My dear friends and family we are all gathered here today out of respect to a great man that deserves a tribute and homanje. Your presense here today is an attestment of his love and kindness. Even if some of you did not have the fortunate opportunity to meet him in person or well enough he has touched all of our lives directly or indirectly in one way or another. For those of you here today that did know him I don't need to tell you the type of wonderful person he was. But, for thos of you that did not know my father he was and still is loved by many, many people. I would like for us to say a final farewell to him and to try to remember him not as how he was so tragically taken away from us last week but rather in a peaceful manner. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and honor my mother and respect her pain as my fathers only first wife and the mother of his only children. I have a couple of quick notes that I would like to read to you that I received from others that unfortanatly could not attend today. I also know that there are many others here today that are anxious to express their feelings of sorrow and extend their condolonces to our family. We all feel our fathers presence here today in spirit and we am sure that he is very happy to see us all joined in love and in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We hope everyone had a good trip back home from Jersey. It was great seeing you all again and brought back many memories. We hope that the next time we meet it is on a happier occasion. I remember your Dad as a soft spoken man. I never saw him get angry. At the funeral parlor I saw many friends and I am sure that West New York will not be the same without him.

Today I write about a man whose life was taken away in the worst possible way one can imagine. A man who was a loving husband and father. This was a man who was always there for you even with people who he just met. He showed his love through kindness and understanding to you no matter if you were good or bad. This man never judged you. I am talking about Roberto Prieto.
