He was illegally using his ATV on a public road with no one supervising him. He not only killed himself, but could have killed someone else.His parent should have prevented his death. Your comments glorify and encourage this reckless behavior and lack of responsibiity by parents of ATV users. Shame on you.

shut the f*** up riding is fun unfortunately people die sometimes..you must be some boring loser that never rode anything with a motor on it and you have no choice but to ride illegal bc these c***suckers dont give anyone a break and just let them have fun

It is always a tragedy when a young person has an accident that results in an untimely death. I did not know this boy, or his family, but I'm sure that a day will not pass where his parents don't feel the pain of losing a child. It is very sad.
The answer is not riding illegally on the street. With all the money we pay in taxes and all the open space that has been purchased by both Suffolk County and the Towns - where are the ATV parks???
We need to make the politicians open ATV parks, for the safety of the riders and the residents. They (the politicians) seem to be too worried about getting sued to take action sometimes and as a result we all suffer.
