point is for all too ignorant to understand the vicious biting black lab was the aggressive one the kids were terrified of it.It had no owner! But you feel free to cuddle any vicious stray dog you want its your face.

Everyone is so cruel. That is someone's pet! I agree that biting a child is very wrong but that is the owners responsibility to make sure a biting dog will not be around others and have signs out saying beware of dog. As for the people that are around the dog they should be cautious. I have learned to trust no dog until you have reason to. I have once owned a dog that bit. But we were smart enough to keep it away from people and when it was around people they were clearly informed he bit. But killing a dog that bites is awful. I would not kill my dog because he bit of course the 2nd time would never happen either. Yes the owners should have to pay for the medical bills, but taking the life of a dog because the owners didn't inform the 'sitters' it bit and letting it around others is uncalled for.
The family don't even want the dog to be killed so really have a heart and be more focused on the owners paying for the bills and that it's their fault for even letting it around people especially when they didn't know it bit. All dogs bite under certain circumstances! Both girls are ok, they are upset but will heal. Everyone should be tankful for that, I'm sure the families are.
I know this is someway off topic but if a cat scratched your eye out, a bird bit your finger, a snake bit and poisoned you, a horse trampled you, a skunk sprayed you, would you kill it?

My problem is that it is always blamed on the dog. My friends son was bite by my 12 year old dog because he would not listen and the dog never bothered or bite anyone, but every time this 9 year old boy got a chance when the adults was not looking he was tormenting the dog, pulling its tail, making hissing noises and putting his hand in my dogs face like ha was going to grab my dog on the face ,he was told over and over again to leave the dog alone. He did not listen and he got bite and it didnt even require stitches, but everybody made a big deal out of it when it was not the dogs fault at all. They even took me to court, and my son testified that we all told the boy to leave our dog alone and of course i also testified and i won the case, my dog is still here in my home safe and i did not have to pay a dime of his emergency room visit. It makes me sick that it is always blamed on the dog, it is not always the dogs fault. In my opinion the little punk son of my x friend deserved what he got.I am sure he will leave other dogs alone when he is told too.

The dog that bit this young girl on the face had previously bitten another young girl on the face also. In my opinion, the dog owner is fully responsible for both incidents and needs to be held responsible.

little girls like to cuddle pets. specialy small cute ones. This is the owners fault clearly. she should not have asked grandparents or people she knew that had children to babyset her dog. she should pay the medical bills and appoligize. take her dog home and keep it inside and have it on a leash or in an inclosed area with a warning sign. dog bites. then that would settle this. from what i understand this owner is refusing responsability and is refusing to pay med bills. the small girls have scaring on there faces. those will last a life time.i mean it could have been worse it could have nipped off the end of there noses or damaged their lips or eyes. that didn't happen thankfully. but if the owner is refusing to admit her dog bites this could happen again. i believe if she would just put up a sign and promise to keep it away from kids and at least chip in on the med bills the parents would be okay with this and it would be over. the fact that she isn't even admitting her dog done it is what is making everyone mad.so they are fearfull for other children.

Yes! the skunk and bird no. If it was between me n a snake,,,u betcha. If a horse trampled you ud prob be dead. If a anything scratched my eye out, it would not be around to do it again. It may be someones pet but kids are far mmore important.

I can assure you 1000000% that this was not the case in this situation. This child adores and loves animals, still wants to be an Vet and would never in a million years have been mean to this or any animal. No one is blaming the dog, its the owners fault for not being responsible enough to to inform others that the dog has bitten before. And yes, children love fluffy animals. There was NO tail pulling. The child was lovingly playing with the dog before it bit her in the face. She usually will not touch animals that she in not familiar with. However, being in a home she was familiar with and considering the dog was small and a lot like her own dog, and being friendly to her she assumed that it was friendly.... Yes, the physical wounds will heal although they do leave 2 young faces scarred. The real scar is the trauma suffered by shots n stitches to the face and the ER visit (let me add that this child has had more than her share of er visits due to illness althoug none this painful), the nightmares and the distrust in people knowing this could of all been prevented with 2 words DOG BITES!!!!

Again showing more of your instability,The idiot here is the one whom clams to beat a dog in the head with a hammer. You should be living in a cave,I still think you should be pulling 10 to 15 for the abuse of an animal.I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe that a 90 lb lab came to threaten you with teeth showing and wanted to take your children into the woods,You may be talking about a rabid wolf but not a Labrador retriever.I will not sit and debate this with a total ignorant individual such as yourself. You are apparent not in your right mind, when you talk about bashing dogs heads in with a hammer and for sure NOT right when you talk about doing the same to HUMANS,you need a check up from the neck up ASAP! and it is spelled conscience by the way NOT Concious!Cause not cuz...(So let us not get into whom is the STUPID one here)At the very least I can spell correctly!I am thinking you are an uneducated redneck with so much time on your hands you have nothing better to do than "TRY" and play the part of a bad ass animal abuser! You should feel so very proud of yourself.(Said no one ever)I will not even try to reason with a goat roping hillbilly such as yourself,It is a lost cause.Ignorance breeds stupidity! In your particular cause you have taken it to the maximum! One last piece of advice, GO BACK TO SCHOOL and get and EDUCATION.I have zero doubt you are uncivilized you are to uneducated to even know proper grammar. Maybe if the dog did not belong to the kids then the kids should have left the doog alone. when dogs are away from their owners they can have seperarion anxity that can cause a dog to bite if it feels threatened or you pull its tale or ect.If it is not yur dog just leave it alone, keep your face away, problem solved.
Maybe the dog was in a grandparents home so they felt safe as if it were their dog, was small, friendly and playing with the child before she got bitten on the face. Maybe, small children are attracted to dogs and they dont know what the hell seperation anxiety means, And just MAYBE the owner should of said THIS FREAKIN DOG BITES< KEEP IT AWAY FROM KIDS> considering it had already done so to another child. Adults should know better. The children did not. They are trusting and think if an animals seems nice and is nice once, it will always be. Does not matter how much they are educated, they are spontaneous.

The only viable solution to this matter seems to be in the Court. The child's parents really to need to speak for her and take the owner of this vicious dog to court to recover expenses and a pumitive damage award for future suffering. The dog owner obviously does not care about either of the children that were bitten but she may well start caring after the Court is through with her.

With animal abuse! http://www.biography.com/people/jeffrey-dahme... <~~~ see ... You see my CREEPY pin pal.You are wrong,I do care about my children more than any animal on the face of the planet,However I must say what defines and animal? Can you answer this? The answer is YOU!
