Mother Accused of Driving Drunk

She didn't just put the lives of her children in danger, but mine too. I travel that area frequently. She could have killed me and my kids. Throw the book at her!

This woman has gotten away with her bad behavior for far too long. I hope her husbands money won't buy her out of trouble!

I hope Sharon gets the help she needs to get a handle on her problem. I am not condoning what she did but I think she has a problem with alchol and needs help. I pray that God helps her family get through this horrible time. Praying for the family :)

I too am praying for the family. It is sort of a friend of a friend of a friend sort of thing. Obviously, the family is hurting. There are three children involved. This cannot be easy. But I do hope that she is dealt the harshest sentence allowable. Not only would it be fair, but it might also help prevent someone else from doing it.

I dont think any of us really now what happened other than what the media wants us to think or know. If you know Sharon Wood then you know that this is not what it seems to be, if sharon was indeed imtoxicated than yes it was very wrong but I know her and I know that woman loves her kids and family more than anything in this world I think she deserves a second chance the media had already slashed her name as well as the people who talk as if they know anything about her

Wait ... what else could it be? I am all ears. I would love to know what else could make her act that way. Cold medicine? Headache medicine? I am all ears. Seriously. But right now, media or not, it doesn't look good. A crowd of bystanders cheering when the police put you in handcuffs can't be a good thing.

I didn't say I knew her personally. She is a friend of a friend of a friend. I don't believe everything I read in the media, but I sort of don't have a reason NOT to believe the Henrico County police officer's version, plus multiple eyewitnesses.

If there is another explanation, please let us know. I guess we will all learn more after her hearing on the 3rd of October.

point is... YOU were not there and as far as bystanders cheering those idiots were just being idiots. They probably didnt even know why the were clapping. If I was Sharon I would not have blown in the breathalizer either (cops are not the most honset people in the world) The only reason anybody even cares about this is because its a rich person involved had it been a crack head that lived in a trailor and drove a hooptie no one would freakin think much of it other than typical white trash...But since she lives in a great house and drives a car that most people can even afford the tires on then everybody feels the need to but in. she was resting her head you dont know why. And actully i hit a curb the other day guess what I was sober, guess what else not to long ago somebody knocked on my window for gas money guess what I abrubtley sat up and drove away, oh and the other day I had a headache so i sat in my car and rested my head! please arrest me..Oh wait I wasent drunk! The media as killed her reputaion and made others pass judgement on a lady they do not know! And to the guy who has written about her in the newspaper can you guys not really see how jealous he is. He felt like he had to post her address and make and model of her car.Pretty much you are guilty untill proven innocent... And if she was SOOO drunk the media would have loved nothing more than to tell us all what her bac was... guess it wasent to bad.

Uh ... KT? Are you the one claiming to be her niece on Craigslist as well? I am going to go out on a limb and assume you are either a teenager, or in your earlier 20's.(based on your wording in your e-mail). And perhaps you don't have young children of your own?

I have kids and point is, what she did was stupid and endagered her kids lives. I think we will all find out the BAL after her court date. I think people are outraged because of WHAT she did not WHO she is. To each his own, but I don't really fault the press for reporting it. I think you were implying in your original post that it wasn't what it seemed. Now it seems you are saying her BAL wasn't that high.

I think everyone is sad that this woman has done what she did. But get real, she got caught. Money or not, she endagered those kids. Let's see what happens in court.

Really how much or how little money this drunk has doesn't have anything to do with the fact that she was DRUNK and driving with her kids in the car!Face it KT,if she wasn't drunk she wouldn't have took off when the cops showed up.If her drinking problem is so bad she doesn't care to endanger her kids lives and everyone else's on the road she needs MAJOR help and yes,maybe even jail time.I seriously doubt you would be so quick to defend her if she had killed one of YOUR children or family members.From what I have heard this woman has been boozing it up for years but this is the first time she has gotten caught.Those kids are very lucky their drunk mom didn't kill them.Yeah,she sounds like a mom who really loves her kids to me....

I am not sure that you "Know the Facts" do indeed "know the facts". It is natural to wnat to defend a friend or family member. But let's wait and see what happens at the hearing. That will be public record.

Wow is right. Sometimes in cases where the media is involved, you get "teams" of people on both sides of the issue. I think Katy is the same person that was spewing the same crap over on Richmond Craigslist. The cheese stands alone.

WOW...you guys are getting very personal. Sharon is an old friend that I worked with many years ago.....She is a loving and very sweet girl but judging from her Mug Shot (which are NEVER good) the drinking has taken a toll on her. As I said in my first post I hope she gets the help that she needs. I do agree with KT or Katy or whoever that the press did not need to mention what kinda car she was driving or mention where she lived....when I got my DUI (no children in the car but still not the smartest thing I've ever done) they never even put the arrest in the paper much less on the news. I'm still praying for the family, Sharon, her children, her husband, her parents. I hope Sharon learns from her lesson like I did. People need to "read the inside of the book before they start judging the cover." Get well Sharon we are pulling for you all :)
