Are you retarded? Or just ignorant? Hitting a kitten with a golf club no matter how wrong it is does not make you a sociopath. For your information a serial killer starts torturing animals as a kid not a grown azz man. So many animals are abused every day and nobody gives a fuxx till the news picks it up. That kitten will be in pain the rest of its life, and will never walk right... The people doing that to it are more of sociopaths than the guy who hit it. Also i highly doubt Rocky is gonna donate any of that remaining money plus who the fuxx calls the news? Someone who wants attention and money? I think so. How many other people call the news upon finding a injured animal? Nobody? Point made.
FYI...this is NOT the 1st time Gary has hurt an animal...just the 1st time he was caught. So before u post make sure U have the FACTS! If U know Gary like I do U would know he is a Sociopath. He is a Drug Addict and known Thief and has done a LOT of things that he never got caught for or turned in for.
As for the Kitten he will NOT always be in pain and these wonderful ppl that rescued him is doing the RIGHT thing. I dont know for sure, but the Vet Office could have been the ones to call the News to start with, but who ever did also did the RIGHT thing. Animals deserve protection and respect just as Humans do if not more in a lot of cases.
Oh and the ONLY "Point made" by U is that U R just as Cold Hearted as Gary for the statements U made in ur post.

I'm intelligent, sorry for your handicap

Antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) is described by the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, fourth edition (DSM-IV-TR), as an Axis II personality disorder characterized by "...a pervasive pattern of disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others that begins in childhood or early adolescence and continues into adulthood.

Though the diagnostic criteria for ASPD were based in part on Hervey Cleckley's pioneering work on psychopathy, ASPD is not synonymous with psychopathy and the diagnostic criteria are different.

It is characterized by at least 3 of the following:
Callous unconcern for the feelings of others.
Gross and persistent attitude of irresponsibility and disregard for social norms, rules, and obligations.
Incapacity to maintain enduring relationships, though having no difficulty in establishing them.
Very low tolerance to frustration and a low threshold for discharge of aggression, including violence.
Incapacity to experience guilt or to profit from experience, particularly punishment.
Markedly prone to blame others or to offer plausible rationalizations for the behavior that has brought the person into conflict with society.
There may be persistent irritability as an associated feature.

The diagnosis includes what may be referred to as amoral, antisocial, psychopathic, and sociopathic personality (disorder).

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, fourth edition (DSM IV-TR), defines antisocial personality disorder (in Axis II Cluster B) as:[1]

A) There is a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others occurring since age 15 years, as indicated by three or more of the following:
failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest;
deception, as indicated by repeatedly lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure;
impulsiveness or failure to plan ahead;
irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults;
reckless disregard for safety of self or others;
consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations;
lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another;
B) The individual is at least age 18 years.
C) There is evidence of conduct disorder with onset before age 15 years.
D) The occurrence of antisocial behavior is not exclusively during the course of schizophrenia or a manic episode.
The individual must be at least 18 years of age to be diagnosed with this disorder (Criterion B), but those diagnosed with ASPD as adults were commonly diagnosed with conduct disorder as children. The prevalence of this disorder is 3% in males and 1% from females, as stated in the DSM IV-TR.

How else would we know of cases of animal abuse unless we get it from the news?

As a citizen of Madison County, I appreciate your message. Should I attend, I will uphold your request for respect in both the courtroom and the general area, and I hope that in Lucky's best interest, others will too.

HOW can citizens who are concerned alert the Judge that we're disgusted at large and we demand stiffer penalties for animal cruelty/torture/abuse, and that we'd like to see the defendant given the maximum currently allowable if found guilty?

I realize that animal abuse is more common in this county than is widely known, having talked recently with a local volunteer. It's not just Lucky. It's high time the penalties were stiffened up and I'd love to see a "Lucky's Law" go into effect.

If there's anything citizens can pull together and do to make our voices heard in an efficient and calm manner, please let us know?

Thank you!
Madison Co Sheriff Dept wrote:
SECURITY ANNOUNCEMENT
It has been brought to our attention that several are planning on attending the court proceedings for Mr. Gary Foster concerning the Torture charges in the “Lucky the Cat” case. We have also been advised that several have made statements that they intend on bringing golf clubs as part of a sort of protest or statement. Please let us be clear that the Madison County Sheriff’s Office took and still takes the investigation and prosecution of this case seriously however the security and order of both the courtroom and courthouse is our responsibility as well. Many of us here at the Sheriff’s Office are devoted pet owners and sympathize with everyone’s tempered emotions, but let it be clear of the following:
No weapons or any items out of the norm that may be construed as a weapon will be allowed past our initial security stations into the courthouse. No outburst or disruptive behavior will be allowed to disrupt court proceeding in the Hall of Justice and in the court room itself and any person or persons disrupting the courts will be escorted out of the courthouse.
Please know that it is your right to attend all proceedings that are not closed to the public by direction of the courts, but attendance will be orderly and the security of the court and those attending will be maintained without question.
Please honor “Lucky” as professional and a peaceful advocacy and not an angry, out of control Mob.
Here is some information that may be helpful in what to expect upon entering the Courts in Madison County
Items not allowed in court:
• Guns
• Knives
• Box Cutters
• Hand Cuff Keys
• Tools
• Glass Bottles
• Unauthorized Badges
• Sharp Items or anything else that may be used as a weapon
What to expect upon entering
When entering either the Hall of Justice or the Family Court Building, the following Items must be removed before going through the metal detectors:
• Wallets
• Keys
• Coins
• Cellular Phones
• Pagers
• Cigarettes
• Lighters
• Any foil packages
• Batteries
• Watches
• Metal Belt Buckles
If after removing these items, you still set off the metal detector, you may be scanned with a metal detector wand. All bags, purses and umbrellas will have to be scanned by the x-ray machine.
* Please advise officers if you are wearing steel toed shoes.
* Also advise officers if you have a medical condition that prohibits you from walking though a magnetometer (metal detector)

We shouldn't be afraid to attend, it's just that if we bring golf clubs or make threats, that would deny Lucky swift and due justice. ;-)

I'm sure the defendant knows that everyone knows and he really ought to Foster up a new place to live because he surely won't be welcome in any decent neighborhood now.

I hope we have a huge turn out on September 24. Its important to follow the Sheriff's directive and be responsible citizens. But by showing up we will let the authorities understand the public expects, if convicted, that Foster spend a year in jail.Its not enough, but all the statute affords. If he tortures another animal the penalty is 5 years. I personally think people like him should be locked up for years.

You are an insane and ignorant fool. I hope the police arrest you before you harm someone. Yes I am speaking of people, not a stupid cat. Farmers in the area kill hundreds of cats every year.

The animal shelter kills almost all the cats and kittens it gets. Make the call and ask. Cept they do it in an animal gas chamber, yes thats a box hooked to a car exhaust.

omg I cant believe how stupid people are!!!!! Gary Foster knocked the damn cat off his dog. Yes he is a drug head and thief however; as far as the cat the dog still has the place between its eyes. He heard the dog yelp went toward them and the cat hissed up at him and out of reflex he grabbed the first thing he could and knocked it off. Don't you people want some sort of evidence about anything? He went to the police department on his own to get it straightened up. Gosh...go to court with your club and you'll hear about it and feel stupid!!!! I hate him he lives with his mom and goes here and there stealing but this is just getting ridiculous!!!

Yelp, a golf club is the best way to protect a dog against an attacking kitten that weighed about a pound. Get real, this SOB needs to be locked up. That defense won't fly and with the public needs to demand the judicial system do its job and lock this idiot up. By looking at jailtracker, its obvious he should have been locked up before now.

And just how big was this poor defenseless dog? Bet Foster hit it between the eyes to create a defense. Maybe there is two cases of animal torture here. Lets all show up to see this dog savin man in court. I have emailed humane societies in Kentucky and surrounding states about this case. Many will send representatives. Lucky may prompt changes in the law so these people get the jail time they deserve.

It was sooooo dark, yet he was able to find a golf club, and find the kitten well enough in "the dark" to smash its legs?

And cats are just notorious for attacking and killing dogs. Right.

It's not so much the killer cats as it is the killer kittens that you have to keep an eye on.:) lmao
