I DO hope this kid gets punished properly and some sort of counseling. Why is this news, some here ask... because cruelty of this extreme is a warning sign. 5-10 years down the rode and this individual commits a horrific crime that ends in a human life, the same people on here saying "this isn't news" will be angry saying, what wasn't this looked at sooner, we had warning signs, it could have been prevented. I think attention to this is very well deserved and these types of acts should have a spotlight put on them, as they are warning signs of future behavior.
In any event, this story sickens me, the same way it sickens me to hear of child abuse/elder abuse. There is something so, so troubling to see a human being treat another who is pretty much defenseless, abused and tortured. I miss the days when people held compassion for their fellow man; were kind to one another. Our world currently seems so full of rage, hate and anger... it is truly sad.

What is even more disgusting is the alleged fact that this "kid" is actually thirty (can anyone confirm or is it rumor). If that is the case, again not sure if it's rumor or truth, his girlfriend was watching and she is 16! Does anyone else find something terribly wrong with this picture???(If I have my facts wrong, please someone correct me.)

And even more terrifying- if he is that vicious, and he's "dating" a girl half his age, how does he treat her??? I think it was stated that she was afraid to speak out for the fear of how he'd react? Clearly she's afraid of the guy... and in my mind, a person does not start out at this level of cruelty. The further he goes without getting caught, the more violent and flat out evil he grows to be. He got too bold.

If these are the facts, how can anyone here say this is not cause for attention on the matter. This man is a loose cannon, dating a minor who is in fear of him, and abusing the weak. How can anyone say that this is wasted time and coverage!?

I understand PETA will be in Richmond for his court appearance and plan to pursue this matter. He will get jail time and can be sued. I hope he is ruined over this unspeakable act. He is dangerous. Where does he work?

I've always associated PETA for being over-line-extreme and thought they could use their power in a better way than throwing paint. On this, I 100% am glad they have caught wind of this story and am thankful that they are focusing on a subject where change can be possibly made (i.e.: Making animal cruelty/torture a felony). These are the types of issues that PETA should be utilized, in my humble opinion.

Jail website and change the option to past inmates and type in his name. It will pop up all of his arrests since 2009. Penny is just as bad as him. She would have him steal flowers for her. She was with him when he pulled up in front of Krogers last yr and grabbed some plants they had for sell and drove off. He got arrested for it, but as with all the other arrests his G-Dad on his Moms side always Bails him out.

He can get a year in jail and a $500.00 fine, if its his first offense. Second offense 5 years. We should all show up in court at his arraignment and pack the place, letting the officals know how upset many voters are. He should get years in jail. Stop him before he hurts another animal or a child.

I've not read all the posts, because animal cruelty REALLY pisses me off! Some azzholes are probably saying "It's only a kitten". They're in the same category as him-a complete sumbitch, self controlling coward. Studies have shown that mass murderers, spouse abusers, sibling abusers/killers, and school yard bullies have a histoty of being animal abusers. Hope they lock this dumbf#$k up on his court date, then hope the local paper will release when he gets out, so some of us can follow him around and when he least expects it, tee off on him with a three iron, starting with the legs below the knees and then concentrate on what small nuts he has. Are you retarded? Or just ignorant? Hitting a kitten with a golf club no matter how wrong it is does not make you a sociopath. For your information a serial killer starts torturing animals as a kid not a grown azz man. So many animals are abused every day and nobody gives a fuxx till the news picks it up. That kitten will be in pain the rest of its life, and will never walk right... The people doing that to it are more of sociopaths than the guy who hit it. Also i highly doubt Rocky is gonna donate any of that remaining money plus who the fuxx calls the news? Someone who wants attention and money? I think so. How many other people call the news upon finding a injured animal? Nobody? Point made.

I hope this case and child abuse cases too will continue to get more attention. We all need to know that this crap happens every day all over the country where animals and children are abused.
We need tough laws and prevention programs. We as a society, need people to care and be aware how wrong it is to abuse any living creature. It is not only against the law but it is morally and socially deplorable and discusting.

SECURITY ANNOUNCEMENT
It has been brought to our attention that several are planning on attending the court proceedings for Mr. Gary Foster concerning the Torture charges in the “Lucky the Cat” case. We have also been advised that several have made statements that they intend on bringing golf clubs as part of a sort of protest or statement. Please let us be clear that the Madison County Sheriff’s Office took and still takes the investigation and prosecution of this case seriously however the security and order of both the courtroom and courthouse is our responsibility as well. Many of us here at the Sheriff’s Office are devoted pet owners and sympathize with everyone’s tempered emotions, but let it be clear of the following:

No weapons or any items out of the norm that may be construed as a weapon will be allowed past our initial security stations into the courthouse. No outburst or disruptive behavior will be allowed to disrupt court proceeding in the Hall of Justice and in the court room itself and any person or persons disrupting the courts will be escorted out of the courthouse.

Please know that it is your right to attend all proceedings that are not closed to the public by direction of the courts, but attendance will be orderly and the security of the court and those attending will be maintained without question.

Please honor “Lucky” as professional and a peaceful advocacy and not an angry, out of control Mob.

Here is some information that may be helpful in what to expect upon entering the Courts in Madison County
Items not allowed in court:

• Box Cutters
• Hand Cuff Keys
• Tools
• Glass Bottles
• Unauthorized Badges
• Sharp Items or anything else that may be used as a weapon

What to expect upon entering
When entering either the Hall of Justice or the Family Court Building, the following Items must be removed before going through the metal detectors:
• Wallets
• Keys
• Coins
• Cellular Phones
• Pagers
• Cigarettes
• Lighters
• Any foil packages
• Batteries
• Watches
• Metal Belt Buckles

If after removing these items, you still set off the metal detector, you may be scanned with a metal detector wand. All bags, purses and umbrellas will have to be scanned by the x-ray machine.
* Please advise officers if you are wearing steel toed shoes.
* Also advise officers if you have a medical condition that prohibits you from walking though a magnetometer (metal detector)
