The reason health care cost is rising is because all health care is paid for, but only a portion of people receiving health care are paying. Those paying are paying for both themselves and for those not paying. The total cost of healthcare will not decrease.
Additionally, there is no oversight. The answer isn't more incompetent government, that's for sure.

Social Security has become a well-disguised welfare program. Let's fix Social Security right here and now.

That's a fact "He Man." Hundred's of thosands, maybe millions of folks over a lifetime have paid since they started working at @ 16, and die before they reach the eligibility age in which to collect Social Security.

Just as an example: My dad worked for 50 years, since his 13th birthday, paying into the system, and died shortly after his 63rd birthday.

Nothing in it for my mom.

Social Security pays survivor benefits for surviving spouses who have reached the the minimum retirement age of 60 (reduced amount paid of 75-99%) or the regular retirement age (full amount paid 100%) or for dependent children until their 18th or 21st birthdays based on the the amount the deceased would have received at retirement. If your mom qualifies, she should apply.

Agree.
No one can live wholly on Social Security income. Fact is my mom worked her whole life and raised a family in-between. When my dad died, the business they owned and operated together for years and years was sold. My mother worked another 15 years in civil service after he died and invested her money wisely. She also qualified for SS when she retired and a small pension which she paid into.

The point is, I guess, for those who don't take government handouts life is a struggle. And in that struggle it's called, "paying your own way."

Don't get me wrong, I know life is a struggle for people unemployed too. But too many are bilking the system and I can fill a whole page with facts and figures that I have seen in my lifetime, but will spare that information because it's too much to read.

Obama brings nothing but stink to the USA .
