At Liquor Mart in Richmond across the street from Hooters, we are raffling off a brand new Jagermeister tap machine. The machine will hold three bottles of liquor and when it is dispensed it will be cooled to zero degrees. Yeah I know, it's AWESOME. Seriously though it is a $350 machine and it could be yours for just a mere $3.00 All you have to do is just come in after 4 any night of the week and fill out a raffle card. You may enter as many times as you would like. The drawing will be held on July 6th. So come on in and get yourself a raffle ticket and we just may be calling you on the 6th. Good luck.

The big question is, do you know it is against the law to raffel off anything in this state?

Really? Since when? Cite the law and code number if you are so certain. Go to any church, civic club, rotary club, car club, etc and tell them they can't raffle (not raffel) off stuff to make money. You sir or madam, have no clue what you are talking about.

Ok fools.

A charitable non-profit organization is the only entity that can hold a raffle in the entire state. KRS 238.??? is real clear on this. I am not sure of the subsection but you can read it yourself.

Now the last time I thought about it, anyone low enough to sell liquor is not any type of charitable non-profit organization for sure.

So we can sit and watch this nut idea fail miserably. There's no money to be made on raffle tickets for your dumb asses. Sorry.

While I'm thinking about it. Have you ever wondered how many innocent children you personally have helped to be abused or even killed? When you sell liquor to people and they go home and beat their wives or children, or crash on the way home and kill people, it's no ones fault but yours. Cause if you had not sold the shit to them, they would not have done the crime.

So tell me. How many innocent little children have you helped be hurt?

I agree. I cannot even fathom the amount of homes and families will be wrecked because of that Liquor Store raffling off a Jagermeister machine. Hopefully it will get canceled, I don't want to think about how many people are going to be hurt because of it.

I think what the poster was refering to was.
If an employee of a liquor store sells whiskey to someone, and they get drunk and crash their car and kill someone, then that persons death is a direct result of that employees actions, and they should be as guilty as the drunk. Since they were both involved in the persons death.

And this carries straight back to the liquor store owner. They should also be held accountable.

As for any raffel at a liquor store. Who cares. But I am pretty sure it is against the law.

I am pretty sure that no one at that liquor store has killed nor abused anyone. People get abused and even killed without the use of alcohol or drugs. Everyone has their own poison and for some its alcohol, and for some it's not. But as for the raffling of the jagermeister machine. I have seen it personally, it doesn't come with any alcohol. I went in there yesterday to see it.

The Commonwealth of Kentucky sells lottery tickets which people will spend their last dollar on in the hopes of winning the big one while their children starve and go without. Yep, hold all state employees accountable for the demise of the family. Citizen's point is moot at best and should be disregarded by all. You can't hold the liquor store accountable but bartenders CAN be held accountable. It may be a double edged sword but have they ever indicted someone from a liquor store? I don't think so.

To Citizen and all the other ignorant people out there:
Just because people drink does not mean they are wife beaters or child abusers. I myself drink plenty and I am responsible. I have never drove drunk, nor hit someone, nor abused anyone. You people need to stop being so hypocritical and get a life. Did you know that child abusers, rapists, and spouse abusers go to church and for all we know you are one of those people. Just because someone enjoys a drink or two, or three, or well you know where I am going with this does not mean they are the scum of the earth. My grandma goes to church with some fine upstanding citizens (sarcasm) that won't stop and get her a gallon of milk or see if she needs to go to the doctor. However the neighborhood drunk is the first one to come by and see if she needs anything. So there is your proof not all church people are good and not all drunks are bad.

Ok I have fixed it so you can understand the issue. RPD and the ABC people all agree that YOU CANNOT have a raffle, they will be stopping by and telling you this in person. LMAO

Another victory for the good people of Richmond!!

I had an abusive step father for a few years and I promise you, he was stone sober when he puled his crap. Boycott Wal-mart while you are on this non-alcohol kick because they sell alcohol. Kroger and Meijer also sell hard liquor. As I type, the Richmond Chamber of Commerce is throwing a bash for their members at The Paddy Wagon. I wonder how many state leaders, council members, business owners, etc. enjoy a scoth or bud while playing the back nine?

There is nothing wrong with having one to three drinks.

Considering the population of Richmond, and the price of a raffle ticket here; one hundred raffles would equal $300.00 which is the sale price of the machine. In regards to the population, I think this is a reasonable goal. In fact, I will buy two raffle tickets myself.

Liquor stores will be the last to go out of business. They can count on the people that buy alcohol to continue till the last cent is gone. It matters not that their families are hungry or their children sick, alcholics don't care.

I read a study in college stating that if you randomly pick any person going through a liquor store, and followed that person home, there was a 94 percent chance that you could have sex with the guys wife. This it stated was due to the guy being a low life that is willing to prostitute hiw wife to insure that he has liquor money for the next day, or possibly the wife is also a lush and they both will sell you a daughter or just have the wife do you. The constant being the need for more money for alcohol.

We discussed this in class and tried it. We went to a local liquor store and decided to contact the first customer we came across upon arriving. We did, it was a female. We went to her home, and 5 of us guys had sex with her and her 16 year old daughter for about 4 hours. Thats when we found the flaw in our test. The bitch was the liquor store owners wife and daughter. Now thats been years ago and we still laugh about that, but I would think it holds true still today. Drunks will do what is needed to keep the liquor flowing.

Neither ABC or RPD came through all night just so you know. But either way the raffle is gone due to some low-life hypocritical retard. Thanks for ruining a good thing.
