Richmond PD

WOW, have lived in our neighborhood for over 8 years and myself and many neighbors have parked our cars the same way for most of that time. Woke this morning to parking ticket for parking the wrong way on the street. Guess the long time homeowners calling the Richmond Police Dept to control the noise of college students,at 4:00 am, that rent and have no respect for the neighborhood(and the working adult that has to get up early) have to pay additional funds for that service, or the college students have a friend on the force that will cover there a**** and get pay back to the long time homeowners that just want a nice quite area to live in.

Honey it never pays to call the police. they are never there when you need them and always there when you dont(catch you speeding, etc). get a camera and film the noise and time then call their landlords. or file a complaint with the city.

I'm sure the P.D. Rides Horseback... I know how you folks loves horses.

Sounds like you drove in the wrong side if the street. That is driving 101. If you don't want to pay the fine don't do the crime. By the way I'm not a police officer jus someone showing the double standard people have. I would suspect that you are a tea party member who gets subsidies.

You dare complain about cops doing their job ticketing you by admitting youve calledem b4 to harrass kids in a neighborhood you knew 8yrs ago was in a college town; youve proved your an idiot and a snitch why not post your name so the cops can monitor your area? Afraid theyd bust you for other infractions? Ever think till you called them there was no reason to come over and see your disregard for basic road safetey?

Parking the wrong way has always been against the law. The guys are simply doing their jobs. By contrast, I had to take my son to the hospital and needed help. The officers that responded to my 911 call were the nicest guys and very helpful. I ran into one of the officers 3 weeks later and he remembered and was kind enough to ask how my kid was doing. Nothin but respect for Richmond PD.

However you would e complaining if college students parked the wrong way and didn't get ticketed and you like many others will continue to complain while you are being forced to obey the law. However you expect everyone else to get ticketed etc. the cops are doing their job. Grow up learn how to park and if you don't like how the force is doing then stop complaining and become an officer yourself!

Agree, if someone doesnt like the job they are doing, next time call a college student for help. LOL

RPD sucks in every aspect. Have for years. All they do is get bj's and facelifts.

I also live on the same street as the original poster. I also received a ticket for parking the wrong way in front of my home. I wasn't the one complaining about the ongoing traffic jam of college student cars, but I respect the cops for doing their jobs. I think it was a little petty for an officer to go around the whole neighborhood at 4 in the morning writing multiple tickets. Several of us have lived here for years and it has never been a problem. The issue is a resident ran their big fat mouth complaining about college kids, now we have cops in the area ticketing the shit out of us. I've got 2 tickets this week. Lesson of the day is to grow a pair of balls and go resolve the issue yourself and don't get the law involved.

Listen people, they are police officers. No one said they know what the laws are.

Since parking pointed the wrong way is not mentioned in the Kentucky Revised Statutes, and is not mentioned in the Kentucky Drivers Manual, I would hire an attorney and sue the guy for trespassing on your property, and tampering with your car, since you have the proof he was there.

if you think this is bad go to nich-ville the mayor got one person on the police dept that start at 12:00 midnght 8:00 am just goes around ad give ticket to those who are park on the wrong side ,,,,, this is why you pay city tax for them to f??k with you wat a rip off ......

The RPD does not give out parking tickets. The city parking attendant does.

Not complaining about parking the wrong way. DO NOT appreciate the noise they make at early morning hours. We do deserve respect and for them to follow the quite hours.

Not harassing kids, they are young adults and should respect the neighborhood.
